  1. im looking to buy the oil cooler lines, and im looking to buy the turbo feed line. if someone has these items please let me know and we can set up payment. thanks.
  2. haha yeah deffinatly. its nice to know it runs! its crazy little things like that accordian pipe will make it run that bad. oh and justin the car looks so much better cleaned up with wax on it. i will send you some pics.
  3. i had a great time, it was nice meeting everyone.. i feel bad that i had to leave on short notice, but i didnt need to get stranded lol. thanks everyone who helped me out on my car, i really appreciate it, and its nice to know that the starquest community is such a tight nit community as it is. it was also nice to see so many cars gathered in one place i havent seen that many in my whole life lol, lots of nice cars. too bad it was so hot though jeeze. i will stay longer next go around because i will drive the car lol. thanks jimmy i didnt get to really say it because i had to take off, and i asked justin if i left oil in your driveway he said i did, so im sorry i wasnt able to stick around and clean that up, i need to see where it is leaking from, and im going to order a vc gasket and oil pan gasket asap. thanks once again.

    yes i know that the dsm/quest connectors are two diff colors, i wired them up with the help of the 1g FAQ the NA dsm plug still has the same color wires as the turbo dsm plug, with the exception of #7.. i just cant get over how my car keeps throwing code 3 on every single MAF i put in the car... which ive swapped them with 4 diff MAFS.... i think im just going to leave it alone and try to trailer it to jimmy's house on may 2nd... i tried to do the tps reset and even that was too much for me... i just dont have the guidence to do it myself and i cannot seem to get anyone off line to come help me with it because of the drive. i dont understand these cars, and i feel like im digging myself into a deeper hole than what i am already in. the car doesnt want to idle right now again so i cant possibly set the idle at 850-950 and anytime it wants to get close to 1000 rpms it slowly dies and shuts off.... so i think the problem at hand is a little more than what i can do myself. i just hope that it can be fixed at jimmy's house because if not, im just going to sell it for something more practical. i love the cars, but my pockets arent deep enough and the two that ive had have broke me and left me hurting so...we will see.

    also i just pulled the vaccuum off the dizzy while the car is at roughly 18BTDC at 1200 rpms.. the car nearly shut off it was probley at 200 rpms

    ok so my MAF pigtail was bad when i bought the car, the red wire was pulling out the plug... i had a friend solder it for me... i was just letting the car warm up to do the tps reset but i looked at the LED and it gave me a 1, then 3.... im wondering if because of that plug is that was its throwing a MAF code becuase i have 3 diff 1g MAFS and my factory starion maf but the only other pigtail i have is a N/A 1g dsm.. can i use it the same way as i was using my factory starion plug? as long as i wire the colors together in the FAQ? just curios cause its hard to believe all MAF'S could be bad. and that will make the car run lean/rich.... just getting some opinions....

    car has hyro lifters and jet valves still.i dont own a fuel pressure gauge and it does not have a AFR gauge on it. i dont think that the injectors could be dirty since they are new.. but i will double check the crimps on them from where i put the new bosch clips on it. i will try to undo the vac advance and give it some gas and see what it does.

    also the exaust from the rear while the car is running is pushing plenty of air out, but i did think about busting the exaust loose from under the pre cat and let it run to see if there is any change.

    turbo doesnt make any noise, no shaft play other than normal valve train does not tick and compression numbers checked out. aside from the manifold glowing the car is running fine... starts up fine everytime and it will idle now, it just idles at 1200 rpms. and this is under normal driving shifting at about 3-3500 rpms. i played with the vacuum advance and it springs back on its own.

    im going to reset it tomorrow. also which sensor is the coolant sensor for the comp not the gauge?
