if you need any help just let me know......... i did a 4d55 swap into a raider that Kane owns now....also could help you with some more power thru adjusting the fuel pump. there is an eccentric tapered cone that you can adjust for fuel delivery. just so you know.

What kind of #'s is it capable of? Torque ... Mpg ect?

Cool swap!

stock #'s im going from about 170hp to about 115hp and from 220ft/lbs to about 175ft/lbs, and prolly 35+ mpg. from there its all how much money i put into it(as all ways), but going by team 1000 and there numbers on a 4D55T " We use 25psi-33psi boost in normal race. Max boost during testing conditions on racetrack is 37psi. At 29psi boost it produced over 200hp/295ft lbs torque on the dyno and would guess it make over 250hp and 400ft lbs of torque at 37psi." so with that its all open.im just looking forward to playing around with it and see what happens.

so this is mostly a swap for fuel economy?

the swap is not for fuel economy, though i have read that some mighty maxs have tuned there 4d55 to 40+mpg. i think i just want to do a swap that has not been done before (i belive) and see what i can get out of it. plus i think its cool

gas/diesel/electric, you have to pay to play.

So the 4d56t, is a wideblock only, or did it come in a narrow block varient?

Not that that is a killer, Bill makes an adapter kit to make it work in whatever.

the diesels were only wide blocks. i mated mine to an auto trans which was never an option ever in a diesel. i had to mod the starter and flex plate but it is doable so he can run the 5 speed or auto. i would recommend the auto myself. due to the taller gearing. those diesels do not like RPMS at all. also are you going to source a fuel heater/water separator? also your going to need a starter....the 2.6 will fit but its not gonna turn that beast over....300psi of compression......
