  1. After owning my '87 for 22 years I'm finally in for the PF meet. Even though it won't make this trip I look forward to meeting and talking to other owners and seeing your cars.
  2. Received head setup and exhaust manifold today. Everything perfect, just as you described. Thanks again
  3. As his post represents, the seller was a great, respectable guy!! And if giving the opportunity to do business with him again, eithor real estate or automobile, I would!! Just disappointed I missed out on a great car!
  4. It wasn't an issue of getting the money, it was having time to drive 100+ miles and picking the car up. I could have took delivery Saturday but unfortunately I have to work. But I took his word that it was sold and he would have it for me Friday, my next off day. I want to make clear that I am not bashing the seller!! He seemed to be a great guy, everything up to this point was the truth, and I thought it was great to have my first Internet car purchase go so well. I just think a great guy made a poor decision.
  5. Ok guys, give me you opinion on what just happened here as I'm so ill I can barely think. I found as awesome blue quest for sale on the forum, drove over, test drove the car, absolutely loved it!! It was everything the seller said it was and more!! Great guy, great car. Right? So two days later I call him back, agree on a price, owner post "car is now sold to happy new buyer". I'm working evenings so we agree to take deliver later this week as he says that's fine, it'll be in my garage you can get it whenever. So today I go to the bank and get the cash out to pay for the car. The owner calls me, I'm thinking to verify the exchange date. And tells me he sold the car because another guy offered him more money. I told him that we had a agreement! He didn't disagree with me he just said he couldn't turn it down because he needed the extra money. Did he ask me if I wanted to meet the higher offer, no. Would I have, no, we had a deal! He simply said the money was already in his account and the deal was done!! So needless to say I am highly disappointed!! So to answer my own question, a man's word is worth about a thousand bucks. I wouldn't sell out for that, would you??
  6. 300.00 I will meet you in memphis to pick it up
