Shelby
very disturbing read to be sure , shows our so call'd friends over there are not our friends and we need to rethink our entireposition for being over there if the Packistan government wasn't covering for him they certianly would not arrest some one for turning him in
89PalermoSHP
Good stuff. Someone needs to tell them they are suppressed weapons, not silenced weapons.

Shelby
I am thoroughly enjoying the piece, too. To a columnist....suppressed, silenced.......tomato, to-mah-to..... Tim eather way the words have seperate meanings,, supressed is what they did to auto fire weapons that had a bad tendency to jump or buck , placeing supression groves in the barrels alow'd the flash to stablize the end of the barrel when the rifle or gun was fire'd to silence the noise means to lessen the blast noise when the fire arm is fire'd , if he'd have said noise supressed he would have been right
89PalermoSHP
From Wikipedia: The proper name Silencer has since fallen out of favor with some among the firearms industry, being replaced with the more literally accurate term sound suppressor or just suppressor, because a "sound suppressor" does not "silence" any weapon, rather it eliminates muzzle flash and reduces the sonic pressure of a firearm discharging. One must also use subsonic ammunition.

chiplee
The columnist also didn't have to point out that the seals brought along water for hydration. What else is water for? But there weren't too many distracting things like that for me to enjoy it.
