I have a couple of questions i hope you guys can answer for me

1st is the oil pan on the 2jz do i need front or rear sump

2nd can i use a vvti 2jz or just stick with the none vvti

3rd from what i have read the r154 is the better trans to have

so to make sure i have this right i need

1 the 2jz engine

2 r154 transmission

3 bellhousing to mate trans to 2jz

4 1jz flywheel and clutch

so i guess i would need a 1jz clutch fork?

any sugestions would be great

and who on here can make up a set of motor mounts please pm me

thx in advance guys for the help

check driftmotion.com they have alot of the parts you will need. i looked into this swap a while back i have a r154 for sale also. you will need a bellhousing for a 1jz to fit the r154 you can find that on driftmotion. i also have a new parts for the r154 also. check out vettekiller and serpentkiller. along with boho. they have done the swap. vette and serp are awesome guys and are pretty much the masters of this swap. hit them up and get them talking. have fun.

2jz and NON vvti Front sump

R154 If you get it from an MKIII supra, it has the correct shifter housing/rod that you will need, as well as mechanical speedo unit that if you choose will bolt to the factory speed cable for the starion. You need 1jz bellhousing as well as the flywheel. but you can use the 7mgte (mkIII) clutch (whichever you choose)

If you go with 1jz it can come with r154, just letting you know.

Send Vettekiller a PM about mounts and if he is making them.

if the trans comes off of a 1jz engine then i should not need a bellhousing right?

Ron whats up with your trans (how much shipped to 32444) and do you have bellhousing and right shifter ?

what one of these is the right one

is it this one http://www.ebay.com/...=item4ab3315625

or this one http://www.ebay.com/...=item3a6f6d0289

and thanks again guys

Rob, Your first link has the right bellhousing but the wrong shifter. You would have to cut the floor and center console to get the shifter in the car. Its too far back.

The second has the correct shifter/housing but not the right bell. LOL...I know its a pita but its a very strong transmission. Thats one of the pro's of going 1jz vs 2jz. 600 from Ron is a good deal on this trans. 350 more for the bell. Does it have the right fork? Slave? $300 for flywheel, $500 for clutch. (a decent one, Stock is around 220...) 1750 for your Trans/Clutch.

Again I'm just sharing information.

do i have to cut or modify the trans tunnel to fit the r154 in the car?

or only if i use the extended shifter

and power steering what do i need to adapt that

also it seems all i can find is the aristo 2jz gte which states it comes with an automatic ecu but im going to be useing a r154 will this be a problem

also where do i find an ecu pinout on how to wire in the 2jz ecu

thx again for all the help guys

Because the Jz is so far back you are gonna have some banging/cutting of the tunnel...but just the braces...you don't have to cut it out and make a new one or anything. I'm not running a P/S cooler or an Oil cooler at this time.. I plan on running one in the future though. ...I have 6an high pressure line for the feed, and 6an pushloc line on the return . What are you goals with the car?

dope!!! im still in the baby stages. I made a very dumb mistake (got the tranny and waited after 90 days to get the bell) so ofcourse i have a very expensive w58 sittin in my garage lol. also you might need the e10 plug for the computer. the way i was explained was the e10 plug is considered a body harness so it didnt come with the computer. i got mines off ebay for $65.

You are not that lucky...Its too long and wrong diameter for 1310-50 etc. I'm not sure what the other guys did...they had driveshaft shops that knew what they were doing.
