Manual Tranny Torque spec.

As in tightening the bolts? As in how much it can handle?

 

Normally the clutch is rated for its ability to hold a certain torque, hopefully the tranny is higher than that. Lots of guys have spun the teeth off the manuals though, it seems to happen above 350-400 lb-ft. Factory clutch would never hold that.

Does anyone know the torque specs for out manual transmission? Transmission is almost done. Thank you.

 

Starter motor - 16-23ftlbs

engine to tranny 31-40

mainshaft locking nut - 196-216

countershaft locking nut - 116-137

idler shaft locking nut - 15-43

drain plug - 44

oil filler plug - 22-25

Back up light switch - 22

under cover - 6-7

seal plug - 22-30

speedo clamp - 7.5-9

 

is that what you need?
