255/45 front, which fit well on the 10.5" rim. 285/45 on 12.5" rim on the back, a little more stretch than I like but I wasn't sure how they would be. I got a deal on the four Continental Extreme Contact tires and they didn't have wider than 285 at that vendor in 17".

Next pair will be 305/40, and I'll be re-lipping the rear rims to 13.5" (7.5" lip to lose the spacer) and relipping the fronts to 11.5" (up to 6.5" lip) with the lips on the rears right now... That's why modular rims are so sweet... but the 285's are freakin wide lol.

I'm down for whatever but I mainly take it on deserted "mountain" roads through the hills in NW Jersey/NY area. Closest road course is a couple hours drive and not that cheap. Still has the G54B. I find driving the G54 in power on/off gas/brake/gas situations like autocross is tiresome. I'm used to driving the LS1 in my C5 and it has spoiled me. Planning to do a swap this winter.

Hey can you show how you did the gas filler?  Did you weld on more pipe under that cap?  I am gonna do the same type that you did cause it looks easier than what I was going to do.

Come on buddy! Time for car #3. I'll help answer anything you want to know. PM me your # and I'll txt you.

For the filler cap, I went through a few ideas before settling on the motorcycle style cap. Originally I was going to move the stock door out and cut a similar square panel in the flare, but after some test fits and modding the door assembly I went another way as the contours aren't the same and I didn't want to cut up the flare. The angle of the pump handle was also a big question mark.

I modified the stock filler tube by removing the flapper and porting the opening inside near the flapper. I cut the threaded flange off where the cap screws in, cleaned it all up with a flap wheel and put it back in. I then used a 2" ID 45 degree fuel filler hose length attached to the stock filler tube and the filler cap assembly I have, which has a hose attachment extension that sticks down inside the flare. I kept the rubber fuel pocket thing in there too. Just took some finesse and trial and error.

I did learn, before I took out the flapper, that it's in fact not there to prevent fuel leaking if you roll the car over. The vent tube would still allow fuel to bypass the flapper anyway and any check valve is supposed to be at the tank.. It's in there from the old days when leaded and unleaded fuel pumps had different sized nozzles, to prevent putting leaded fuel into the unleaded engine. Laws just dictated this needed to be there!
