  1. thinks she's finally bit the Starion bug LOL!
  2. On my day off yesterday i decided to accompany Chris down to the unit and do a little bit of tinkering on the Starion, he replaced the rocker cover gasket as the old one was dripping oil allover he said it looks like it hadn't been changed for a long time as it was soild LOL. Following that replacemnt we decided to start her up as i hadn't heard her running since i purchased her back in July09...to be honest i got a shock as to how well she sounded considering how long shes been stood. We did notice some oil burning off from around the turbo/manifold area so will need to have a look into that . As i'm not a qualified mechanic i decided to leave Chris to it and get on with something that is more my 'forte' paintwork and general repairs, the wheels are slightly corroded and in need for a good flatten and clean up... heres the result.... Before http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r245/100nxbabe/Photo0295.jpg http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r245/100nxbabe/Photo0294.jpg After 1hour25mins of flattening and cleaning.... http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r245/100nxbabe/Photo0293.jpg http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r245/100nxbabe/Photo0292.jpg http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r245/100nxbabe/Photo0291.jpg Only managed to do the outter rim and one spoke but you can definately see the difference... 3 more to go LOL Found this also... http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r245/100nxbabe/Photo0300.jpg http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r245/100nxbabe/Photo0297.jpg I suppose it could be worse but i'm wanting to attend to that somewhat before she goes for her MOT within the next few months. As she is now.. http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r245/100nxbabe/Photo0296.jpg Livy aka Starion-Girl
  3. Nice to see that you've give your build thread a 'Bump' Dan, I can still remember the days when just when you thought you'd saw the last of the dredded rust more appeared, this car was like a never ending story it just went on and on and i was so gutted for you as she was your pride and joy. I can defo say that this thread im sure is a warning to any Starion owners of how bad these cars love to rust and more to the point can hide it so well! Even though she hasn't been worked on for a while and is still a little way away from being completed she is so much better now than what she was, just think once shes done, up n running it will be one of the most rustfree Starions on the road!
  4. LOL! i dont think you'd even dare either if you wanted me not to pinch your starion engine haha!
  5. i want some rear lights like yours now ive seen them LOL!
  6. Hey Bro! Thanks for the post Yeh i can't wait to have all the 3 starions on the road n you know for a fact you couldnt face trailoring yours everywhere as you loved drivin her too much need to start work on my wheels gettin all the corrosion off this weekend then when Chris gets a DA i'll probs end up giving them a polish Livy
  7. haha yeh the pornographic anime is called 'Hentai' pretty rude stuff lol not my taste personally lol but ElfenLied is my favourite i like Ghost in the shell too
  8. Nice to see you got your project on here again baby ill swap you my starion for yours anyday LOL! btw its really your fault i own one lol... we'll get her on the road soon you'll just have to drive mine if you ever need a starion fix .x.
  9. Yeh myself and Chris are pretty into the japanese car scene so he decided to buy himself a Bosozuku'd Hiace super custom van in pink lol as you can see which is also a show vehicle but the pick-up is his works car as he's a mitsubushi master tech n currently running his own business
  10. Good point... they are Samco hoses but i don't think you can beat hardpipes.
  11. Name. Livy Freeman Age. 20 Location. North-Eastern UK Hobbies. Cars LOL! mainly retro classics My Starion 2.6 wide-body (resto) http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r245/100nxbabe/Photo0126.jpg My 100nx nissan (Showcar) http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r245/100nxbabe/Photo0118.jpg My Golf Mk2 GTI 16v (daily driver) http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r245/100nxbabe/Photo0203.jpg And last but not least.... Myself http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r245/100nxbabe/Photo0033.jpg
  12. Totally love this project! n much respect for the amount for hard work you've done... i'd love my Starion to be that low i just know i wouldn't be able to get very far on our roads in the UK as we do have a slight 'pothole' problem lol keep up the good work Starion-Girl
  13. Yeh you could get them in the states as a nx2000 whereas over in the UK there known as a 100nx but still was great for a first car and project even with th T-bar top .. i've been in the process of building her for nearly 3 years now and she is still far from finished but im pleased with what ive accomplished so far lol.. cars are my main hobby and i think they always will be, been interested in them since i was a young child... however you do get alot of 'flack' from men whom dont think that it should be a womens hobby lol especially when they find out that i airbrushed her myself LOL! I'm really surprised that you know the anime in which the images are from as i get alot of people at carshows asking if its a image of myself lol can't believe they would honestly think i'm that vain haha.... you know much about anime? didnt know if it was a big thing over in the US? Thank you V8Starion that is the one thing i have always tried to be with my project cars as i dont believe in following with the majority of car enthusiasts my cars are always a reflection of me and what i like lol.. Hence why i bought the Starion as i love the shape and design of the car n that fact that they are awesome fun to drive, funny thing is as there arn't many in the UK at all alot of people have no idea what is it when they see it and many mistake it for a Toyota Celica supra
  14. Also cant forget my daily run around and another restoration project... My Golf mk2 GTI 16v http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r245/100nxbabe/Photo0034.jpg http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r245/100nxbabe/Photo0037.jpg http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r245/100nxbabe/Photo0040.jpg http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r245/100nxbabe/Photo0043.jpg
  15. Hello everyone Seen as thou alot of members are posting pictures of their cars i thought i may as well show you my on going projects and money pits LOL:).... My Nissan 100nx Show car project When i bought the nx in 2006 she looked so what different as she does now lol.... at £800 from ebay it was a complete steal and not bad for a first car http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r245/100nxbabe/DSCN9887.jpg http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r245/100nxbabe/DSCN9881.jpg Within days of owning her she was lowerd on Spax35mm springs and removing the old colour coded spoiler replaced with a carbon fibre one http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r245/100nxbabe/DSCN0507.jpg I grew really tired of the two-tone blue and white paintwork and decided to make the first steps towards getting her a complete respray... With ALOT of help from my other half chris we started to strip the bodywork to do some minor changes... http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r245/100nxbabe/DSCN0537.jpg http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r245/100nxbabe/DSCN0533.jpg The windscreen washers were smoothed out as well as the side repeators, also the 8 holes in my boot lid from previously fitted spoilers were welded up and fillered. http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r245/100nxbabe/DSCN0639.jpg http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r245/100nxbabe/DSCN0642.jpg http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r245/100nxbabe/DSCN0636.jpg Once this was done she was taken to a body shop in darlington to get the rest of the prep work sorted out and also remove the rubbing strip from both driver and passanger side doors RESULT! lol http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r245/100nxbabe/Photo-0102.jpg http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r245/100nxbabe/Photo-0101.jpg At this point in time i'd just started working at Paint my ride in darlington with Mick which lead me onto decidedin to airbrush the nx instead of painting her one solid color ( i have to say choosing the paint colour for your car is one of the most hardest decisions to make it took me long enough LOL) The nx was safely tucked away with the paint my ride unit for a year getting worked on whenever there was free time as obviosuly the customers came first These images were of the first week we got to work on the car... http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r245/100nxbabe/Photo-0208e.jpg http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r245/100nxbabe/Photo-0208f.jpg http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r245/100nxbabe/Photo-0209f.jpg After around 4-5months the air brush was picked back up again... http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r245/100nxbabe/Photo-0214.jpg http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r245/100nxbabe/Photo-0213.jpg http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r245/100nxbabe/Photo-0216.jpg Finally as she is now with the new 18inch wheels at YMS09 http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r245/100nxbabe/Photo0087.jpg http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r245/100nxbabe/Photo0088.jpg http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r245/100nxbabe/Photo0089.jpg Livy
