Geeze, I'm an electronics hobbyist & that rats nest looks terrifying. I wonder if the manual is for dummies?
I'd buy it if I thought I could operate it. I don't.

i've seen just the box sell for over $100, just usually complete they go for 125-150. when i bought mine i got super lucky and got all of the cables like this one. they're so handy to have, beats trying to poke wires with a multimeter

Ebay post says its good for 85-86 conquests.  Will this work for 87-89 as well?

They are really straightforward to use. Not all those cables get used. They are used for other vehicles. They are not starion/conquest specific checkers. They were designed for diagnosis on many different Chrysler vehicles. With that being said, it's very easy to use. Plug it in, open your FSM, follow the clearly printed instructions, and compare your actual results to the specified ranges printed in the FSM. Piece of cake. It's not rocket science. Its real easy.
