Really need to replace the struts for safety but I also need to replace the springs as driver rear side is sagging about 1" and right now probably due to age I have a set of those spacer things to keep it raised to stock height (same height as passenger side)
I think these are my 2 options below?
I'll explain though the car is used for cruising\car show, I've lived with the struts as is for a while now but they get very sketchy on some roads.
So no autocross etc. and I'd also like to keep the completely stock height, I have no interest in lowering the car at all.
Price does not really matter, I have enough set aside for the coil-over option if thats the best idea.
So since I need to replace both springs & struts I am thinking the coil over option is likely my most cost effective solution?
1. Use non-SHP strut housings and replace w\inserts
But only lowering springs would have to be used as they are only available
I think this is the cheaper option but involves more labor?
I'd have to find non-SHP housings but I get to keep my SHP set aside in case I ever sell the car
2. Coil over (KSport\D2)
Covers my need for both strut & spring combo
But not stock looking at all
Probably very overkill for what I am doing with the car
I'll need find a place near me to have my original SHP struts cut & welded
I can't store the originals in case I ever want to sell the car
Can they be used at the stock height?
Are there any options I'm leaving out?
