Bills89quest
So just a question, has anyone here ran MPI with Megasquirt and not ran it with EDIS? I have a magna setup with megasquirt built by Scott, and I plan on just running stock ignition with an MSD box. I had some issues before, but was curious if anyone else has done this and done it successfully without having to go to an EDIS setup. I appreciate any feedback. scott87star
Phil, Ryan, Tye, Eric and about a dozen others. I would say more people than not use the distributor but I also think there is an advantage to taking the time and changing it to something both more accurate easier to maintain. I ran an AEM Twinspark on my COP but they fry quicker than the MSD boxes do and cost more to boot so no more CDI for me. At least until its needed. wrngwae
Ya bill. It's easy peasy. Lock the dizzy. And put a cr125 module in from "autozone" trust me on that part. I made a post one time about that. Oh and amost forgot. A tach adapter. Man it has been a while since I did this. Skullzaflare
I took the distributor out, put a crank trigger on, no edis needed for megasquirt
