This takes us out of having to vacuum form as we would need to do with Lexan, and brings the cost down considerably. Also, Lexan would have to be coated which adds even more to the cost. I have provided a much more comprehensive pro/con Acrlylic/Lexan comparison on page four of this thread. To counter the increased rigidity of Acrylic, the mounting brackets will be augmented with a poly-bushing to guard against vibration at speed and when closing the hatch. The actual spoiler will mount to the brackets and supports with flush-mount bolt/washer combos...very trick looking. However, if that's not your style, I will also be countersinking the acrylic so that you can just throw a bolt directly through it...it will be up to each of you which method you prefer. As you know, Frenchi934, ZacMan, and Natallica have all contributed amazing input to help me make this happen...so be sure to send props to those guys. Additionally, Natallica will be producing the side decals for these should you desire them. As soon as I get him measurements from the prototype, he can start right up.
