  1. Thanks for the input, Burton! I was looking at your pics, and the hood pin assembly you have in your pics is EXACTLY what I have for my setup. Looks like I'm drilling the center hole for the hood latch.. (has the two mount screw holes already there, just not the middle bolt assembly hole). After spending all this time/energy on body work and such, last thing I want is all that damage and have to plug away at it again.
  2. Ahhhh... so just to the inside of the headlights. I was worried about catching air on the sides, but thanks for input, Robert! Body work is done, everything is primered.. now just to tweak the engine, wire a few more gauges, and she's painted and DONE! w00t ~Brett
  3. Got the '83 FRP hood from mookeeh, and got some NRG carbon hood pin (zeus lock type). Question is, where would be the best place to mount the bolts at? I was thinking where the stock hood bumpers are, but upon inspecting where I'd have to drill, that area under the hood is curved. I saw some pics of the hood pins just to the inside of the headlights, but wasn't sure if those were "real" or not. Any input? ~Brett
  4. Beyond awesome! Do you have reflective silver? If so, is that an extra 10? If you don't have it, then I'll just go with the light grey/sliver. Also, is your paypal markwade@gmail.com? Just wanna make sure I get all the info and order details correct so we don't run into any snags...
  5. sweet! I'll have the paypal sent to you today. The Moto-On.com site does have the imported for chrysler decal, but theirs is so salty, yours is beyond resonable.. and you really don't see the imported decal since it's on the curve of the wing. So to make sure I send the correct amount.. it's 35 for the main set, 15 for the side rocker intercooled turbo ones, and whatever paypal decides to stick me with? It's not a problem, whatever they are. Brett
  6. Mark ~~ Car is getting ready to go into paint, and I need some new decals. I noticed that the pics didn't include the "imported for chrysler" decal that goes on the rear wing... or did it? I might have just not noticed it, or it may have been out of the pic. Regardless, I'll be sending you a paypal payment for a full set (front/rear/side/rocker panels) in silver. Car is going charcoal grey, so I think that'd be a nice contrast. Let me know (either through here or in PM) if the quoted price is still good, or if it's gone up due to the friggin' economy... just mention total due for the entire set, and I'll send it to ya. Heck, I'll even throw on one of your burtons customs decals on it somewhere to give ya a shoutout.. Lemme know, and we're good to go... Brett
  7. Great guy! Stopped by on our way back from Virginia and got a rear wing set, washer pump, and rear bumper. We bartered for the wing and pump (Made a set of custom gauges, and traded my stock turbo for them), and gave $70 for the entire rear bumper assembly. Granted, the bumper was sun faded, but not a problem at all, considering it's gonna be painted. Ron, it was a pleasure doing business with ya! Will definitely keep you in mind if/when I ever need parts again! -Brett
  8. What can I say about Lee?!? One heckuva great guy!! Bought his modded engine (MPI, Mega Squirt, 20g, upgraded internals, 2 1g bov's, hard pipes, 6 puck race clutch.. etc). Granted, I had to drive to VA from IN to get it, but lemme tell ya, quite worth the trip! When I got there, he took me and my girlfriend for a ride in it before it was pulled to verify it was everything he said it would be. I think the only time I didn't have a smile on my face was when I was sleeping on the way back, but then again, most likely I did... heck, my girlfriend even had a dream about the engine.. lol.. SUPER great guy, and if anyone needs MPI, THIS is the guy to have it fabbed up. He does it from scratch, and uc_85's (I think that's his name.. blue flatty, silver rally stripe) car was there in the shop, already getting MPI modded (beautiful car, by the way). Once again, beyond awesome guy to do business with! Hope to see your twin turbo v8 swap thread up in here soon, Lee!! -Brett
  9. OMG!! Where can I get some of those new fangled doohickeys?!? I do that, and then I can throw some Boss Hogg horns on the front of the 'quest, and alllllll the chickies will wanna get with me!! But I have to put a neon kit under it first, cause we all know that brings the ladies like moths to a flame.. ohhhhh yeahhhhhh -Brett
  10. Oh.Dear.Lord....can.of.worms....reopened...I'm just gonna fade into the shadows and have a PBnJ sammich.. heh Brett
  11. Amen! People breaking the pack and taking off could only possibly hurt the whole... let's say someone is in the back of the pack, everyone else zooms off, and that person in the back develops car trouble, with no one noticing that they've fallen way back. The whole idea of a caravan is strength/safety in numbers, and backup if one needs it. Just my 2 cents.. but i'll give a penny for your thoughts.. so someone's making a penny, and it sure as giggity ain't me.. lol Brett
  12. Best.Vid.Ever... I want one... and yay.. it's not an Impreza!! rofl
  13. Hey now, nutmeg in hot cocoa is da bomb-diggity, yo! Robert, you better share some of that moolah... or I'm camping out on your front lawn in turquoise zebra print speedos... just sayin'.. edit for misspell.. blame my OCD
  14. Elk, I bet I passed you on your way down.. I was on my way up to north of Detroit to pick up my Land Rover Discovery II... hit a coyote in the rental (2010 Impala LTZ with under 5500 miles on it.. yaaay for damage waiver..heh). We hit a nasty freak snow storm right at the IN/MI border on I-69.. right after hitting the coyote. Sweet ride, btw.. glad to see you made it back intact! Brett
