Here at GNT,,, we have been asked a few time,,,, " Do you need the factory steels" and well the answer is yes. and here is a how to....

First remove your factory mounts. they will probably look like this..........

i started by warming up the steel a little bit to soften it,,,, nothing crazy just yet,,,, lol

now i took a shoe knife and sliced off the rubber...

and it comes out like this.....

now for the part that has the bushings in it. i warmed it up and used some pliers. twist it till it becomes free.

Then heat up and slice like before. note this steel has a taper to it. and note the direction. it can also not be used if you choose not to use it.... its all a personal choice. but for here..... were gonna use it.

now, lets pour on the heat a little,,,, burn the rubber off,,,,note,,,there hot.... lol.. ask me how i know.

Now,,, let them cool. and off to the blast cabinet. or if you dont have one you can sand or scrape the residue off.

and they kinda come out like this. i needed to blast a bit more but good enough for demonstration.

And thats how its done. re install back in your car. and go for a spirited,,non clunking ride.
