Some of my Conquest from the past and now.

My first Conquest was purchased in 2002 at Georges Motor Company in Osceola, AR. It was a 87 Silver H43 5spd, with only 49k miles on it. I had previously looked at this same car sitting at the same dealer 10 years earlier with an $7000 price tag. It had sat on that lot for at least 11 years that I know of. I was working part time for this dealer in 2002 while traveling for another job.I asked about it and the owner said it was for sale but did not run. He said $2000 so I checked it out. The ovcp was off so I put a battery on it and pour some fuel in the TB. It fired right up and died. I went back in a bought the car. Pulled the tank cleaned it and put a new fuel pump on it. It took some time but I got it driving and started using it to travel in some times. I was just outside of Paris, TN at a gas station when a guy flagged me over as I was about to pull out. I thought who in the hell is this.. It was a member here named Terry aka "conquestnut" he had a white conquest with a cowl induction hood and black stripes with some nice rims. He also had a couple other conquest at his house. He informed me of this site so I started lurking here. Thats when I found members close to me, Stvblk1, UltimateLurker, helrazr70, Tekki_Shodan, Instigator_88TSI, Jeff and Bill. I joined and then ended up getting a few more of these wonderful rides.

Here is my first Conquest..

Here it is at a Cars for Kidz show in Selmer,TN.

Had this drawn that day, still got this pic in a frame.

So then in 05 I went and got all crazy and started buy parts for an MPI swap. I was working on this car everyday after work. I spent countless hours in the garage cleaning detailing installing and almost cost me a marriage over this.

Unfortunately I never did finish the MPI install. I sold all the MPI stuff and put the TB back on it then traded it off to danmarineman on here.

Here is the TB setup I had. It still ran pretty good for a stock TB and Turbo at 15 psi.

Then I found this Yellow Conquest from a guy at turbododge.com. It was at a junkyard in Atoka,TN. I pulled it out of the trees and got it back on the road. I ended up taking this one to PF04 where there were 49 Starquest present. It won the undercontruction award. This was my first trip in the car ever. I put tags on the car three days before the meet and drove it 7 hours one way to Pigeon Forge.

Here is Bill with his daily driven Quest. He drove this wheels off this car. Bill passed in a car wreck back in 2006. Both of his Conquest were sold, he lived in Mayflower, AR. Not sure who got the cars though.

First order of business is to get it reliable. It already had alot of good parts on it.

K DM OVCP

K DM AHP

3" full exhaust star orion/jolyrgr

New injectors and clips

New Bosch fuel pump and filters

New plugs wires and cap/rotor

New TPS sensor

New Throttle body seals

New thermostat

New fusible links

New PCV valve OEM

New O2 sensor

Fuel tank cleaned

GM CS130 Alternator conversion

2 gauge neg ground cable

Greddy BOV

New rear brake pads

So I pulled the valve cover on friday and replaced the valve seals since it would puff smoke on start up.

In doing this I found one lifter with some pitting on the bottom. I ordered some new ones and will replace them this week.

Didnt like the way the turbo water line ran over the OVCP so I moved it under it for a clean look and so it would stop rubbing the heat shield.

While swapping out the catalytic converter with the race pipe I found that the front U joint is worn so I order them along with a new AC filter dryer. Got to convert this car over to R134a. Ill get this car reliable real soon. Its been fun as hell driving it these last two weeks.
