We are a small shop but are capable of putting together a decent car. I feel we will also be an under dog as we are really small shop. We have 2 full time people (myself included) with a part timer that will be helping with this. We are finishing up lots of parts that were under development to have the car ready for the event. I wanted to share with you all but dont want to steal Johns thunder at all. I have even extended a helping hand if he needs access to our shop when here. I think we are competing against each other as we will both be in the RWD class. Ill be sure to get pics and vids of him as well Wheels came Tuesday. Like our Evo stuff a Hot Parts Kit would be manifold ( header as its commonly referred to here), O2 Housing, Lower Downpipe (B Pipe I think its called on our cars), and dump tube(s). 1 or 2 dumps depending if its single scroll on twin scroll. I saw the dynosty (spelling?) frs last summer when the made the first pass on there turbo frs and broke the record at that time for fastest quarter mile. Impessive cars! RonnieJ Posted March 18, 2013 Author Report Share Posted March 18, 2013 (edited) Well got the car together and tuned late Thursday night. Made 405hp 330tq at 16psi on E85. Driving home at about 2am the engine let go. Got the car to the shop about 4am and went to bed. Friday took a look at the car and looks like we bent and rod and put a hole in the block. The cause was from a melted wastegate line. Boost cut was at 20psi but I dont think pump/tune was able to keep up with the sudden spike. Ended up taking the car Sat to display in Injector Dynamics booth. Modified said we will be included next year.
