Be sure the shop has the front cover on the block when decking, also be sure block is not cracked  mainly on the top pass side by head bolt holes and water passages

Dad

We checked her before she got sent to the machine shop, thank you. I'll make sure to have it decked with the front cover as well. Thank you for the information.

Alright, I have my balance shaft elimination kit. Where am I going to put the bearing exact;y? Does anyone happen to have a picture? I've never done a balance shaft elimination before.

Here's some pics from when I started working on this after blowing the engine

Pictures from photobucket do not work. You should definitely switch to a different hosting place. I personally suggest Imgur.

1987 Flatty Starion -- Widebody Conversion -- V-Mount Setup --  JDL Tubular Manifold  --  MX-6 Intake -- MS3-Pro -- AEM FPR  --  ARP head studs -- 3" hood exit exhaust -- Hahn Racecraft 16g --  Tial F38 Wastegate -- Tial Q Bov -- Short route piping -- 5 lug & LSD conversion -- Tubular Front End -- Manual Steering Rack Conversion -- Manual Brake Conversion -- Stack Digital Dash -- AEM UEGO -- D2 coilovers -- full GNT poly bushings & mounts -- four 8" rears -- car lightened significantly...  More to come!

Thank you, at a lull right now due to having to move, waiting on some machine shop stuff still and waiting on a rod now because I had 3 reuseable ones, but I need a new one it seems. Nothing but money to throw at it until she is done haha,

I did however find the issue with my speedo though. The gear inside of mine seemed to have broken off. I'm not sure if they had it clocked incorrectly or what the issue was, but I actually found the part and got her spliced up in there yesterday. So whenever she is running again I believe I'll be able to see my speed this time at least hah!

If replacing 1 rod I highly suggest you have all 4 balanced,  they are very close as original sets  but I have seen almost 40 grams difference between engines
