Hello Everyone,

The time has come for me to sell my car and move on.

I'm selling because I recently got married and bought a house with no garage. For the last 5 years I've been storing the car in a rental building that I split with some friends. However, with the mortgage payment, it's difficult for me to afford rent on the building as well, and I refuse to store the car outside. We're also going to be starting a family eventually, so I need a car that can accommodate a kid.

Basic Info:

1988 Conquest TSi

About 80k original miles

Stock, original engine with balance shafts and jet valves removed

5 speed trans

Black leather interior

Custom made polished aluminum wheel center caps

Sparco 4pt harnesses

Early model manual seatbelt center console with coin tray and accordion shift boot

Delrin shift knob, very comfortable and simple looking

AEM wideband AF guage

AutoMeter Phantom; Boost/Vac, Oil pressure and Water Temp gauges

BTSG short shifter. Shortest & tightest shifts of any SQ short shifter I've felt.

Powder coated valve cover, oil pan, and turbo heat shields

Things I Removed:

Full AC removal, installed non-AC duct under dash

Rear seats (will come with car)

ABS system

Cruise control

Automatic seat belts

Charcoal canister

EGR

Had no stereo when I bought it, but all the wiring is intact

I tried not to cut any wires or plugs when I removed everything, so any future owner would be able to replace it all without too much trouble in that aspect.

Things it needs or coud use:

- Could use an alignment, several suspension changes have been made since the last professional alignment.

- Possibly new front tires. It passed NYS inspection a few weeks ago but they probably only have another year or so left.

- Intermittent wipers don't work, just needs the wiper motor pulled out and cleaned/re-greased.

- Driver's seat left side bolster has a hole

- Has typical frame rail rot, but not terrible. I have two reproduction frame rails that come with the car.

- Has an exhaust rattle when you hit bumps, nothing major. Never bothered me enough to fix.

- Random interior rattles that could probably be easily fixed.

- Has a very small oil leak from the rear main seal. Its not enough to register on the dipstick so I never bothered fixing. It just leaves a small spot on the floor if parked for a few weeks

- Trans output shaft seal needs replacing. I've got the seal, just no time to install it. The trans shifts fine as is. Will grind on fast shifts at high RPM, but it's my understanding that most SQ's do, and I never really drive that way anyways.

Otherwise it needs nothing. I've been driving it about 60 miles a day to and from work with zero issues. I replaced the clutch slave cylinder about 3 weeks ago, the OEM one finally gave out. I change the oil far more often than it needs to be, probably 3 times a season with a total of about 6k miles. I've always used Mobil1 10w30 and BOSCH filters. I've got a drawer full of OEM fuel filters, seals, gaskets, and random stuff that would come with the car; spare alternator, spare power steering pump, stock sway bars, etc...

Post up or PM me if you're interested or have any questions. It's tough trying to describe a car to sell when you never thought you'd be selling it, so I'm sure I missed something.

Asking $5500, could be interested in trades for something with 4 doors, or easier to sell to the masses, lol

Thanks

Thanks for the love guys, easily one of the toughest decisions I've had to make in a long time.

Hey Tae, yeah man it's time. I've had some interest from a few reputable members, guys I know would keep her beautiful for a long time. So I'm optimistic she'll go to a good home.

I know I'll miss it, but I just can't justify keeping it any longer. It costs me $200+ a month to have a place to store it and work on it, which is 40 minutes from home. The house I just bought in January has no garage, and I'm in no position to build one any time soon.

It'll sell, and I'll be sad to see it go, but there are plenty of other things I have to do to keep me occupied.

If I do end up building a garage, or we upgrade to a house with one, you can be sure another car will be on my list.

For now though, it's just irresponsible of me to keep it.

Sorry to hear Dale :( But I understand

For anyone interested I have seen this car in person a dozen times and it is beautiful!

Dale has been downrightjz about keeping it clean and in good running order. You won't be disappointed.
