Selling my 89 Conquest. I built the car as a weekend drag car that would be street driven. It presently has antique plates which keep the insurance rates low. The plates are transferable to PA. residents.
The car has lots of upgrades. Magna intake, simple digital systems injector control, large 4 injector system with 500HP flow rated Bosch fuel pump, Spearco intercooler, Schneider solid cam, new aftermarket head, 20G turbo, SFP exhaust header with external waste gate, CNM 3 inch exhaust,11 pound aluminum fidanza flywheel with, RPS carbon fiber clutch disc, Short throw shifter, ground control adjustable coil over springs. Included are many spare parts. Low mileage 14G turbo, spare transmission, differential with the large spline factory axles and New OEM center steering link pictured below. The car is in need of paint and the turbo seals are starting to go south, but the car runs very strong. If I were to keep the car, I would put the 14G turbo on it. I just don't have the time or money to finish what I had started. Factory Service manuals are included. I want to sell everything as a package deal. I am taking a big loss over what I have invested. I have added present pictures of the car. I would prefer to sell the car locally. Asking $4,500.
The car is not junk and runs very strong. When building it I focused on upgrading the drivetrain and mechanicals on the car with the intention of drag racing it, but then I got re-marred. I never got a chance to do all that I wanted to do along with getting it painted. The clearcoat is lifting and there is a small area of rust on the left rear fender lip and quarter panel. The car was Zeibart treated after I had bought it.. The car has been garaged since I bought it in 1995, with the exception of this past winter. I needed room in my garage. At present it sets outside with a custom fit car cover on it.
I probably have more than 20K invested in the car if you count all of the redo's thanks to some of the junk Top-End had sold me.
Most everyone wants to buy the car for next to nothing. If it does not sell this spring I plan to put a set of sticky tires on it and beat the balls off of it at the track. If it blows up I will be selling it as is. At least I will have some fun with it.
