Dang! Wonder how long that engine will hold up (if it's a stock set-up). All they said was it was a full interior car; no pics of the engine bay...yet. Doesn't matter NEway. Bushar's caked up with money and resources so I'd drive a 9 sec car too...everyday if I didn't care about tearing the engine out every 6 months.

Yeah, that's fast. But still love my G54B, it's big, it's cast iron, it's outdated, but it's a hell of a powerplant that is so underestimated by most, unknown to your punks w/ deep pockets and very reasonably priced to maintain and rebuild.... G54B FTMW!!!

Yup, most companies advertize HP, never torque. If they did that with the S2000...well. "Introducing the S2000 with 240 jazzy woot woot hp and 153 ft/lbs torque

The underdog of the century; 1988 Mitsubishi Starion with 188 hp and 240 ft/lbs/ torque. And it just gets better with mods and the right cam.

Period.

It was at Summit Racing Motorsports Raceway in Norwalk,Ohio. It's his daily driver and he takes his kids to school in it, so he doesn't want a cage.

Joe

it's understood he don't want a roll bar and why , but i was just makeing the point he can't run the car durring open compatition due to the tracks safty rules

TQ doesnt win races either. ultimately, it all comes down to having usable power, be it TQ or HP. you have to get it to the wheels and have the powerband thats needed.

TQ alone isnt enough to win races. HP is only enough if you have a car with gearing to take advantage of it (think F1, massive HP, low TQ, yet fast as heck)

ultimately HP and TQ as two completely different measurements. HP has a factor of time. TQ is only two dimensional (pounds per foot).

its like comparing 20 gallons verses 50 feet. they measure two completely different physical states.

We already had this discussion in the BS thread about TQ versus HP...please search for that thread because it was broken down to the point that if you still had doubts then you just weren't meant to be driving cars and wanting to go fast.

That's exactly what I was going to say. Who in the world is letting them make pass after pass above 150 with no cage. Anyone know where that was?

sometimes they rent the track. not that that makes it ok to do. but still impressive .

Why not? he's only posing a risk to himself? Do you not believe it's ok to kill yourself? They don't put seatbelts on bikes and ive seen bikes run over 150.

They don't put seatbelts in school bus's either. I guess our children aren't important.
