I've been developing a new manifold for a while now, it's a modular equal length design, so I can made a variety of customer requested changes, without Having  to alter the design.  It uses a modular style collector that works with T-3, T4, and the standard mitsu, and adding an external wastegate can be done after the manifold has been constructed.  Basically, the design allows customer to specify turbo flange and Wastegate flange at time of order with no need to custom make a header like I had to before.  It also takes less time to fabricate, so I can charge less

This design continues to use the more expensive low carbon 316L stainless in schedule 10 thickness, not the 304 that most fabricators use.  Due to the very low carbon, it's less likely to carburize (become brittle) over extended high temperature use .  These material choices have been proven by other starquest owners with many tens of thousands of miles of use/abuse.

This unit pictured below is currently for sale, and I have several others in progress.  This unit is complete and ready to ship, with a T-3 flange, and  38 mm Tial V-band wastegate flange (industry standard).  It also has an 1/8" NPT port in the collector for an EGT sensor, you can plug that if you wish.

Manifold flange is plasma-slotted, this allows the flange to flex just a little to minimize stress on the studs and prevents warpage.

Others in progress will include a T4 model, and a Mitsu flanged model, and more T-3's to come.  I can use any wastegate flange, just specify what you want to to use.  I stock the Tial 38 mm v-band, Tial 44 mm v-band, and the common Tial 38 mm 2 bolt, others require special order or customer supplied.  EGT bungs are inclusded at no cost.

Price is $520 shipped.  Add $10 if using pay-pal to cover part of the fees ($530).

I will also be developing a budget friendly T-3 log, and a stock style manifold that puts the mitsu flange in the stock location, designed to be a stock replacement part.  These I have made before, I'm just re-starting production.

Chad, why don't more people just weld on a t3 flange on the stock manifold?

Because most are already cracked.  That and most also don't have the required filler to bond mild steel to cast iron.  Because of that Many that try end up with a cracked mess.  Several have been successful, so it's certainly not impossible.

The stock manifold isn't terrible, but doesn't qualify as a good design either.  The log type is more uniform in internal dimensions.

Top End performance sells a way over priced stock to T3 adapter flange.  I've thought of making my own, but I just don't think it's worth it in the end.  You still have to modify a lot of things to put in a T-3 anyway, why not start that modification with a new manifold too?

Here is a mockup of the T-3 log.  It is jsut tacket together, not finnished. It has an optional external wastegate port.  I don't have any T-3 turbos, so I clamped a T-4 to the flange to show that even large turbos will fit well on this design without compressor housing fitment issues,  the wastegate has good clearance, and it sits high enough to avoid oil drainage problems with other log designs on the market.

Manifolds will come with and EGT bung at no cost.  The wastegate port is optional, and I can use a large variety of flanges.  I stock the common 38 mm V-band and 38 mm 2-bolt flanges.  Manifolds will come with studs and nuts for the turbo flange.

Prices are :

$370 shipped for External wastegate version (add $10 if using paypal = $380)

$340 shipped for no wastegate port. (add $10 if using pal-pal = $350)

Here is the stock replacement log.  The collector is quite a bit larger than stock.  stock is only 2", this is 2-3/8" and fits the largest mitsu turbine housings.  It will include mounting studs on the flange for the stock heat shileld upon request as a no-cost option (not shown).   I can also add and EGT bung as a no-cost option.

This places the turbo within 1-2 mm and about 1-2* of stock location.

I can add an external Wastegate for $30 on this model (not shown, but similar to the T-3 log).

Prices are :

$410 shipped for no wastegate port. (add $10 if using pal-pal = $420)

$440 shipped for External wastegate version (add $10 if using paypal = $450)

Put me down for a stock replacement as well when you have them available, I'll need it shipped to AU but not phased on cost if you are willing to send these internationally.

I completed 2 stock replacement units for members that already contacted me, and have 3 more in progress for those that have expressed interest, these 3 should be done by next weekend.

I also have a T3 log getting completed today, and a T3 equal length model that is already done.
