mrvwbug
I replaced my front struts with new KYB struts and strut bearings. It was done by a very good mechanic (not me) and now it rattles on the drivers side real bad. It's just horrible. The sway bar links are new as well. I go over a little bumps and can feel everything or it sounds like it. Any one had this problem? I took it to Firestoned and they say everything is tight. Please let me know??? speedyquest
I'm curious about what you mean by strut bearing. Do you have camber plates?
scott87star
The top nut can come loose and drive you insane, it did to me on the passenger side. It doesn't take much play at all to make it sound like a pogo stick.
chassispuke
make sure u ordered the correct struts , there are two different ##,s narrow bodies and for wide bodies. u can tighten the top nut as much as u want but it the noise will still be there. the reason is the length of the two different struts. yes i had this problem.
