doomviillain
Ive been doing some searching around and couldn't find a direct answer. I'm looking at larger injectors (750cc/1200cc) for my car I'm putting together, stock plastic clips are cracked at the top. I was looking at RC peak & hold fuel injectors and I may have my information completely backwards, but I should be aiming for the peak & hold since low resistance is needed for these injectors to function correctly like the stock injectors, or do I need some sort of resistor pack? Another thing I have been wondering on TBI, some only run a larger primary (850/1050 or 1050/1050), both larger primary and secondary (750/1150) or just a larger secondary (650/1300), I'd like to know the ideal reasoning for this. Its kind of confusing. I'm looking to get around 240-260whp side note: I do have an apexi SAFCII for tuning/ fuel management Edited September 12, 2014 by doomviillain
ucw458
The stock TBI setup already has a resistor pack. You want saturated injectors 2-4 ohms. Saturated uses a resistor pack on most ECUs.
doomviillain
Turns out rc dicontinued the injectors I was looking for...Is there any repudible company or shop that sells drop in injectors that make 750/1200cc brand new? ucw458
Talk to fuel injector clinic. I've dealt with them before and they are pretty good.
doomviillain
I called and talked to a rep at fuel injector clinic. They exclaim 650/1150cc is enough fuel for my HP goal. I would like some who has upgraded their injectors to chime in to see if this is accurate, I feel the engine will still starve of fuel. StarquestRescue
650/1150 is enough for 260hp. You will want a good fuel pump so you can crank the pressure up as needed. What turbo and exhaust size and muffler ect?
doomviillain
I have a walbro, no adj. FPR yet, 16G w/ td06sl2, 3 inch exhaust, etc. I'm actually looking for 260 atw
StarquestRescue
That set up is going to want to make more like 300 if you can not limit the boost to a # that yeilds the 260.
