  1. Just a little warning fellas. I CANNOT stress enough on the TORQUE for the Balance Shaft Plug that goes on the Oil Pump. Use an actual TORQUE wrench and use the Torque spec provided in the kit (It was listed in the kit I got from Dad) Mine backed out and went through the timing cover only 100 miles after the kit was installed. > TIP: Not sure if Proffessor mentioned it, but he at least told me that the oil pump can be pulled without pulling the pan and pickup tube, but haven't tried yet. On my parts motor way back when on my 86 I couldn't get it off with the pickup still in... I didn't have to remove the whole sway bar, just remove the bolts holding the center bushings in the craddle and it hangs low enough to get the pan out. I didnt have to raise the engine/tranny to get the pan out, it came out pretty easy manueving it out.
  2. I agree with shelby, this should be on the FAQ, i just noticed it and Ive been searching for it. Ignore the PM I sent ya art! This answered all questions I had except what size fuel line to use?
  3. I got one from a '84 Starion ;D I pulled every wiring harness : That was a bad idea. Man all these combined must weigh over 100 pounds. Time to strip the harnesses of all features I will not be using. That black matting on the floor boards is going to be a pain to get off! I will be running bare minimum to pass safety, so I can drive to solo 2 events ;D I stripped the steering column of the levers and the covers.
  4. I have seen that a lot of people leave the upper portion of the Door Panel when gutting the interiors, why? I have removed both peices and do not see why I would need to keep the upper protion, as the window weatherstripping is not part of the door panel. With the speakers removed, all unecessary plastic, and door panels removed the doors feel lighter to open/close now. should help save those nice hinges. (if you ever owned a thirdgen camaro/firebird you know what long heavy doors do to hinges) I left the door handles and seatbelts of course. I plan on just leaving the power lock actuators alone and running the window switches the the center console. I am not getting rid of the console, though. I am undecided how I am handeling the power window controls. I have pulled the dash and removed ALL HVAC system and related vents. Stripped the dash itself of vents, speakers, switches, etc. I pulled the covers off the steering column and removed the levers off. Stripped the steering wheel of horn and radio switches. I need to decide if I want it to be street legal so I know what to put back eventually. I plan on removing the rear seats, all panels, rest of stereo, under carpet padding, sound deadening, firewall padding, headliner, dome light. I don't have any money to spend on anything, so I am passing the time stripping the car.
  5. My Freind used ~45 ft of 5/32 in Vacuum Hose. Fits pretty good imo I have replaced ~10 on my 86 Flatty, same size, good fit as well.
  6. I am interested in ordering a set for a friend who has cash. This is a good deal. Can we still get into this? Zip Code 20708 email stuart69427@yahoo.com
