101PROPOSE
hello members, i received some sample suspension parts from a manufacturer. i am thinking about modifying them to make some protoype suspension parts for starquests. control rod is one and adjustable swaybar endlinks(Sully's idea) is another one. if you have any ideas on suspension parts we need, please let me know. thanks, 101 http://www.mookeeh.com/starquest/189.JPG
Sully
Frickin beautiful!! I think you have the whole suspension covered How about subframe connectors? Edited March 18, 2008 by Sully
Lives4Speed
Rack N Pinion!! I think DJpowerhaus used a 240 Rack? I wish I had the time to devote to it. The steering box is a dinosaur in comparison. L4S
Jetspd150
101 if you were a woman! I would "KISS YOU" but thank God you not. Keep up the good work.
Dan
Keep up the great work, 101! The stuff you're pumping out is top notch! Lives4Speed mentioned another concern... the steering system. We desperately need a rack-n-pinion alternative to our bs OEM steering system. Please help! Rack N Pinion!! I think DJpowerhaus used a 240 Rack? I wish I had the time to devote to it. The steering box is a dinosaur in comparison. L4S i will check with the manufacturer about the rack N Pinion but most likely, they will ask for a sample prototype. i will let you know. thanks,

These will probably be more popular than any adjustable suspension pieces........but a lot more work to get to work properly.. Zack

Casey_L
Before you go making adjustable things, make some roll center spacers. Or what ever they are called. They are spacers that go on top of the ball joint and below the strut. They take up about one inch of space or so and they correct the suspension angles on a lowered front end. They are popular on corolla's that have very similar suspension designs to our cars. http://www.technotoytuning.com/productdetail.php?p=672 http://www.technotoytuning.com/media/products/rca_02.jpg However, 101, you should make them with a hole in the side so when using your adjustable coil-overs you can lower the front end more and still be able to adjust the stiffness. Also, I think you should look at more corolla stuff instead of 240 stuff to copy. The items you have in that picture are for a completely different suspension setup. D_Venable
haha, Casey, I came in here to post about roll center spacers (although I didn't know what they were called before coming in here) Using them drops the suspension arm back to closer to stock angles, reducing camber (or setting it back closer to stock), and would lessen the dependence on camber plates when lowering the front. 101PROPOSE
it is real simple and easy to make those - whatever they are called. if i get enough interest, i will make them. check out the picture below, i am done with the cad/cam drawing already. let me know thanks, 101 http://www.mookeeh.com/starquest/strutspacer.jpg
101PROPOSE
hello members, i worked on my pillow ball tention controll rod prototype. it is almost done and i will finish it up next week. i am using a rod about 9.5" thick compare to 6.25" thick stock ones. Sully, if you read this, can you send me again the picture of adjustable endlink you sent me through the old forum? i did not save the picture and it is gone now with the old forum. thanks, 101 http://www.mookeeh.com/starquest/N-222.JPG http://www.mookeeh.com/starquest/N-223.JPG http://www.mookeeh.com/starquest/N-224.JPG Edited March 21, 2008 by 101PROPOSE

I was just looking for it earlier. No luck on my end either. All I can find are the ones with the horizontal mounts Kind of like the lower mount here. The other pic had a more stout piece http://www.awrracing.com/store/popup_image...cts/rrlink2.jpg& http://www.frsport.com/images/product_images/thumbnail_Largus_SwayBarEndLinks_4.jpg Edited March 22, 2008 by Sully
Dan
I suggest you contact ryddler direct... he's probably working with the old SQC.com content somewhere that we can't access. Sully
what are the advantages of adjustable tension rods? Caster adjustment. Ours are already adjustable to a certain extent. Those are just easier to adjust Edited March 22, 2008 by Sully
Casey_L
Oh I see. Thanks. 101, I am interested in some roll center adjusters, however you should mill a hole in them so that I can still adjust the knob on your adjustable struts. D_Venable
I'd be in for a set of the roll center spacers/adjusters. Just get us a price estimate Thank you Derek

Those are just easier to adjust here are the advantages of adjustable tension rods i found dramatically increase handling, corner speed, and steering response high rigidity pillow ball rods increase stability under heavy braking and straight line acceleration by reducing toe out and friction turn buckle allows for easy simple adjustment in wheel alignment settings/changes thanks,
