mrvwbug
I'd like to upgrade my stock injectors from on my 85.5 Quest. Can I do this without upgrading the ECU or any other componets? I want more air/fuel to feed a bigger turbo including a bigger intercooler as well. Please advise....I do not want to hack this car up to bad as it's ubber rare - And want the flexibility to change it back in a few hours. Cheers, SLim Jim
pcristquester
I have these, they are 650 primary and 1150 secondary, virtually brand new in case they meet what you want. I'll take $50 less than they go for on Ebay.http://i1372.photobucket.com/albums/ag335/pcrist/006_zps6426005c.jpg
aknorthstar
Those injectors wont work on a 85.5. They are for 87 and up.
scott87star
What do you consider an upgrade? Meaning, given the "not wanting to change the ECU" part of your request. Edited March 6, 2015 by scott87star
IntercooledFlatty
for the trouble it takes to "upgrade" or run a maft on an 86, just contact this guy ^ and do a MS set up with a new harness. leave all the stock stuff in place and tune away with your new big turbo/intercooler/exhaust... OR , just get another flatty and mod the HELLO out of it and keep that one stock...ish meaning exhaust only so it can breathe, and well, a boost controler set to 10 psi my 2.6cents
