  1. Someone asked about 300Z lights, here ya go http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v115/xxstatikk/cars/ZNosesmall.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v115/xxstatikk/cars/ZTailsmall.jpg
  2. WoW I didn't expect such great replies I'm thrilled anyone even looked at this, Thanks everyone. And nice job on yours RUNVS !! gotta love not having that prop there huh~! though I forget I have shocks and reach for the prop when I open the hood still. The bolts shown are the ones from the stock Supra, I just grabbed those when I picked the shocks off the bone yard car, not sure if they would come with a new set of shocks. As to the direction I spun the shock a few times and it doesn't appear to make a difference as to which way they point, the mounting on these just lent themselves to be mounted the way they are.
  3. I started with a pair of shocks from a 82-90 Supra : Mighty Lift - D95211 available at Autozone, and other stores. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v115/xxstatikk/cars/shock.jpg I removed the Wiper motor and surrounding items. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v115/xxstatikk/cars/wiper2.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v115/xxstatikk/cars/wiper1.jpg I then took off the brake master cover and placed a towel over it so as not to get metal shavings into it and to make room for the drill to reach the location, and moved everything out of the way on the left side. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v115/xxstatikk/cars/brakemaster.jpg I located the spot where I was going to place the right mount bolt, approximately 2 inches from the fire wall and approx 1 inch down. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v115/xxstatikk/cars/right1.jpg Using a punch I make a center punch to keep the drill from wandering, After Drilling and tapping the hole we check for placement and fit. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v115/xxstatikk/cars/right2.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v115/xxstatikk/cars/right3.jpg We do the same thing on the left side. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v115/xxstatikk/cars/open3.jpg Checking for verticle placement on the hood itself. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v115/xxstatikk/cars/lefthood2.jpg After locating the approximate location in which the shock will fully compress with the hood, we drill and mount the hood side. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v115/xxstatikk/cars/lefthood.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v115/xxstatikk/cars/righthood.jpg Checking for hood weight loading, the shocks work ! ! they hold up the hood. These were used shocks from a junk yard so new ones would have more strength. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v115/xxstatikk/cars/open.jpg No More Hood Prop in the Dam Way ! ! ! you see it laying there on the rag across the battery. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v115/xxstatikk/cars/open2.jpg Xrac 87 Flatty Turbo LE Technica. 5 speed 87 Flatty Turbo LE Technica. automatic (parts car) 89 Shelby Daytona Z 82 Toyota Cresida straight 6 Supra motor
