Rear Removal, took alot of patience, PB blaster to get those 24 year old bolts free

rear removal, i calculate at least 5.5 Miller Lites to remove each rear :P

didnt get time to put the fronts on, had to fly away this week... im thinking of replacing all the tie rods and ball joints while im this far

... Moog seems to be the better brand , but looks like 300 for all at Advance, anyone else have any good resources for the steering parts< dont wanna go cheap either... gotta thanks Fuze for the great write up on the fronts!, gave me the confidence to just do it

You should be able to get everything you need. and for less

NIce... what was that Rock Auto hmmm. u have any preference on brand name,, Moog seems, like they come with the grease fittings, not sure of the off brands, id like to save some $$, but i'd like it once and done too... any coupon codes for ROCK AUTO :D

How come you compressed the spring when you took the rear struts out? You don't have to.

 

Suspension NooB, i think it actually helped put a little up-force on them while banging them out of the bottom,,, it worked for me

Nice work on the button weld with the front struts. I was gonna say the spring compressor was a good idea it would make it pop out easier, sometimes it a PIA. Especialy if your working on the ground. Edited by JohnnyWadd

Thanks... I Agree thats why i went that route, for me it made them pop up n out better

Awesome man! D2's are the ish! best investment I have made to date. I'm glad i had a hoist to do mine XD. And I'm happy i had the money at the time cause i got all tie rods and ball joints, wheel bearings, and ST sway bars with poly bushings and end links

thanks ... dude i did the same thing, i ordered all new tie rods and ball joints from Rock Auto ( thanks DRED) hoping to get it all in today, and start putting her back together

So in between traveling for work, i had a chance to finish up the D2 install , tie rods and ball joints this weekend... taking her for an alignment on Saturday... i've been playing around with how low i go, here is the first attempt...what you guys think? look good or LoWer ?
