  1. OK it's been like forever since I've post or even been to the site. My quests have been parked for at least 2 years I bet. Now parked means not driven on the road. But next year I hope to put one of my quests on my list of to get done. In saying that I hope to check this site a little more often so that hopefully I can make a quest meetup in Texas. The last one I went to was @ Ceder Creek Dragway .. and it was a blast Matter of fact I went back to the track just a few weeks ago in my 01 Z28 and blasted it down. Later guys ZeroKewl
  2. I hope this Inj opening time: 1.3ms Bat voltage correct: .2ms PWm current limit: 100 PWM time threshold: 25.5ms that you provided will do the trick!!! The thing with MS with dual table is that I have to setup constants for each table (injector in my case). I am doing my best to replicate that of the OEM setup. Make it idle and cruise ( <3000rpms) on the single small inj. Then once the car sees boost and/or >3000rpms it will use the secondary inj to hose down the intake. I bet that those settings you have nicely provided (thankyou BTW!!) should be the same for both. My tuning buddy isn't around but he should be here next week or so and i'll put those settings in before then and see what I can do then once he gets here we'll fine tune it. Thanks Zero Oh yeah the car is a 87 CQ
  3. Does any one know the exact Injector characteristics of the Stock injectors? I've been looking on here and havn't found anything yet because from what I can tell no one is running an aftermarket ecu with stock injection setup. I'm pretty close to right because I have the car running so so but if someone knew some exact #s for me than i'll tie that info in and leave that alone and just concentrate on the tables. For those of you who don't use megasquirt the required fields are as follows Required Fuel (ms) Injector Opening Time (ms) PWM Current Limit (%) PWM Time Threshold (ms) Those should be the major things to help me target specifically the Stock OEM injectors and i'd need that info on both of them. Thanks lots Zero
  4. Hey is there anyway we can get this post made into a sticky? Also do you know the exact constants for the stock injectors? I'm pretty close and have the car running but it's not perfect yet. L8r Zero
  5. Well I know I don't get on here near as much as I used to but I can tell you about what i've been working on. My objective is to be able to tell other questers how to use MS on a stock setup doing NO wire hacking. I've got my 87 quest running it's not 100% yet because I don't have my WideBand o2 complete as of yet. But one of the coolest things the MS will do that some ppl might not know about yet is Dual Table. That way you can configure MS to work like stock. Working from the primary inj at low rpms then have it run the sec inj when it sees boost and/or higher rpms. Using Dual Table is just as it sounds a table for each inj, originally concepted for water injection and nitrous... the possiblities are endless!!! There are people who have used MS to control boost, Sparking, gez you name it. Some of the things require an additional hardware here n there but nothing major and all are low cost... far lower than prebuilt stamped stuff. I'm doing it like that to make my 87 run to as close to stock as possible. Yes I do have a MPI intake waiting in the wings but I wanted to take the time and disconnect the computer and make it work on a stone stock car. Once I get it all done i'll upload it to msefi.com if you havn't been there and looked around it's a MUST!!! As was already stated the amount of help on this is uncomparable to a company. MS flat out RULES. Plus if you do take the time and built it and do it all yourself you have the ability to say ok something isn't working right with the temp reading and that is working through said resistor... but then again there are those who could careless about electronics and just play with the tuning via PC or PDA for that matter. And if thats the case get it prebuilt and have fun . L8r Zero
  6. You do have a point :'( so is this GP already over or what? Zero
  7. Ok I havn't read every single post but I did do a search on this whole thread and no one mentioned the 200R4 used by Grand Nationals... why not.. I've got a magazine where they have one built to withstand 900HP!!!! These transmissions have some awesome qualities most other autos do not. #1 Small .. should be able to fit into our trans area #2 Small also means that it takes a lot less power to turn the pump on it .. which means more of our engines power to the wheels #3 These transmissions were made to utilize torque.. and it shows with the wide ratio between gears #4 They have a lower OD gear than ours (ours .68 .. 200R4 .67) #5 No need for a computer as the 60Lx requires .. (don't get me wrong about the computer thing because I have a read up and I know that one could set the shift points for any gear which is a pretty awesome thing) #6 You can get a high stall convter and still have lockup ( yes yes I know the same goes for 60Lx but I needed another entry ) #7 TH200-4Rs offers full-throttle upshifts into overdrive, while only '91 and later Corvette TH700-R4s offer this. (found this on a website) BTW where does this GP stand? .... i'll the rest of my reading now Zero edit: Ok so I went and got some numbers and maybe this kind of stuff will help other people out... 8. I have ordered one of the pumps from Ron and I thought i'd read some where else that the FP has a built in filter or something? Zero
  9. Sweet i'm glad this is getting fixed because I ordered mine thursday and that means I shouldn't have any problems ;D I'm ready for tha' fuel to flow!!!! Zero
  10. Sweetness thanks guys, a direct replacement that can push the fuel. I'm getting one today if I can get things here at work to settle down if not tomorrow is a must i just wish I wasn't in texas for once stupid sales tax LOL. Zero
  11. Ok let me see if I can get this straight. This FP is a direct replacement? ... that is as long as you have the kit to go with the FP. If that is the case IM IN!!!! I have about 3wks left to get my megasquirt working and I need a FP and I was just about to look into the 2315 or what number for the vovlo unit that can be obtained through AutoZone. But this sounds like a much better deal. Any ways if someone could clear this up for me i'd be much apreciated L8r Zero
