Thanks guys I managed to redo all the vaccuum lines on the intake side with the diagrams you gave me. :) Unfortunately I have some loose at the turbo, well there not loose just plugged off with screws. Also there is a vaccuum port comeing off of the steel intake tube that goes over the valve cover thats not hooked up. If I can get some diagrams for thoes I'd appreciate it. Also on the same steel tube is a sensor of some kind. The wire is mostly gone off of it and I don't know what it does. Can anyone shed some light on it for me? Thanks 86' Conquest TSI

That temp sensor in the intake pipe you need so if its broke you need to replace it.

That wastegate hose from the turbo goes to that intake pipe

there is no hose from the intake pipe that goes to the intake, what would be the point of that?

hoses you MUST have are, the pcv hose and it goes from the pcv valve to the base of the throttlebody. A hose from the throttlebody to the vacuum advance and it connects to the port on the throttlebody in an 86 that are two side by side and its the one towards the front of the car that you use for that. There is a hose from the intake pipe that is laying over the valve cover from a little welded on nipple and it goes to the wastegate actuator that is bolted to the lower front of the turbo. There is a short hose that is from the under side of the fuel pressure regulator that just makes a 90 right to a port on the throttlebody next to it. No other hoses are needed but you'll need one more if you want the doors inside your heater box to work and its one that is on the lower most port below the throttlebody that is actually in the intake manifold and that hose is running along the firewall that connects to it. Follow that hose along the firewall it splits off at some check valves, a switch and a sensor over on the right side next to the firewall then it goes to a storage can and up to the cruise actuator. All the ports that are no used must be capped off with the exception of one and its only there if you have a three port wastegate actuator and an 86 only has one port. If you have a BOV or boost gauge those use another port. There is a boost sensor, its actually a map sensor and its bolted to the firewall on the driver side and I forget where it ties in to but it is also needed but you might not heard that since most don't mess with pre87 cars and that sensor isn't there.
