My car is pretty rough, and I don't really want to spend alot of money on looks. It isnt a show car or a looker. I just wanted to clean the car up a little bit.

So I went ahead and got some parts painted. I had a new Nikofab airdam, and a used front bumper from BC_99. I had a guy paint the hood, front bumper/airdam, header panel, headlight covers, foglight trims, and rear bumper. It doesnt match the 30yr old paint that well, but Im not too concerned. Maybe if I come across some money one day, Ill have the guy paint the rest of the car to match. I did go ahead and paint the headlight surrounds black which I think was a great idea now. I had posted a few weeks back asking opinions about it, and it definitely was a great idea.

This was my car a few years ago before I ever had it running. The front end was trashed when I bought the car.

Here is the front end today. I just got the parts back yesterday. So I was eager to get everything installed this morning.

You can see the fresh paint doesn't match with the fenders and doors, etc. But maybe one day.........

The rear end of the car has been through a few phases. Here it was originally with Conquest taillights:

Here it was last year when I swapped some Starion taillights:

And here it is today. I believe I will keeep this look. Fresh painted rear bumper and some 83 Aussie Starion taillights:

H84 is my fav, paired with the black grill and stuff how the Starion's came, unlike the Quest with body color paint on them

Silver is BY FAR my favorite color on these cars.  If my car didn't have the tan leather I would have had mine painted silver.  I just didn't think the tan would like right with the silver and I wasn't willing to give up the tan.  Really nice Prelude.  It's really encouraging to see so many people on the board getting these things fixed up back on the road right now.  I could rattle off 5 names just off the top of my head.

EDIT - IMO ... paint those fog light surrounds in black too - it'll make the front look awesome.

WOW! That looks great! I want a Starion in each color now! ( Except red)

My monitor is my 65" TV & the only color difference I see is the rocker covers,

Are those SHP wheels?

Yes the rocker covers are faded really bad and stained from me crawling under the car so often. So lots of dirty finger prints...

Wheels are nonshp.  Found on CL locally. They were in much better shape than what I had. The car is a SHP car but had nonshp wheels when I bought it.

Looks good man! I have a silver car that needs paint badly too. Looks like it belongs in a junkyard compared to yours (before you painted it). I have a guy lined up to paint it for a reasonable price but like you I'm having a hard time justifying it. Sweet ride for sure!

It's not.  I'm only showing the car's good side. :)

You can see the faded fenders. The doors and quarters are the same faded shade of silver.  The spoiler looks like crap too.

I'll get some pics of all angles next time....

That car is turning out GREAT.. What a transformation, I remember the first day i laid eye on her, told you then you would get the bug.. pretty soon you will be not wanting to park it at the store. Someone may smack their door into yours. (I hate that).

Keep working on her..

That looks fantastic. Great work! I love seeing these cars go from needing help to needing more pictures taken.

Latest addition....

I picked up a CQ recently that had this hood on it, but the hood was painted black....I only bought the car to get the hood..Someone had invested a lot of time into creating this hood...The cowl is 4 pieces, as it was all cut, and welded up..You have the top, 2 sides, and vents in back...These 4 pieces were all welded together...It was alot of work going into a stock hood...Not sure who did it, but it looks pretty good I think...I like it better than the fiberglass ones that were made in the past...Those weren't as wide or as high...

Just picked it up today from paint, and got it installed and lined up...
