The value of anything is what someone else will pay. There is a page here listing several pristine ones with at least one with a 5 digit price. They're all still for sale. The point made on a $9K car $500~1,000 shipping is not as big a factor is correct. Different story if it was a $500~1,000 roller. There are usually different income brackets doing the shopping for each of these.

www.uship.com lets you get a shipping quote for free, and if you have some time you can save hundreds via bidding. I never take the first quote.

Beautiful car BTW.

Actually u get the best quotes by doing them online through the multiple broker companies that start throwing you quotes because you go on a nation trucker board. Prices keep dropping and dropping. The bid sites will not usually yield the lowest. Unless you get hits from those broker/independents which does happen but nothing like the tons of calls/emails u get via the net!!! uship is brokers & independents. The nice thing is you don't get a bunch of bothersome spam and don't have to keep sending in information. Here's a BMW that was shipped over 2900 miles:

Initial bid was $1,531, but the final one was $1,250. This was apparently over a period of 2 days. If the shipper had waited longer, the price would have been even lower.

The feedback and rating system helps to ID carriers that have had a problem. I had a Kawasaki shipped from NC to FL and the carrier broke one of the seat handles. He was very decent about covering the cost of the repair, so his feedback reflected that.
