  1. i replaced the distributor cap and rotor, wires, plugs and coil. The wires are correctly placed and injectors are good.
  2. thank you guys for everything. I am probably going to pick up a knock box and then hope to god everything works from there.
  3. I keep reading alot of posting on no spark being caused by knock box?? I have no spark in my car and I have replaced the plugs, wires, coil, cap and rotor. My injectors are working just fine and the wiring to the coil is fine. I wanted to know what is this knock box I keep reading about. Also how much would one be for an 88 starion.
  4. Thank you for the wires to the coil direction. I put them in today and it still doesn't work. I crank it but it doesn't turn but I see fumes being exhausted out of the tailpipe. I thing it is really close to starting. So far I checked my injectors and I changed the spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor, and the coil. What would be the next step?
  5. battery is not dead. I just took off the coil yesterday and it was leaking some sort of liquid so today I just bought one am waiting for instructions to put it in.
  6. I tried doing that. I just bought a new coil and don't remember which wires go to the positive and negative terminals. I have an 88 so please if someone can post exact directions on where the wires go I would be very grateful.
  7. Hello guys i'm new to mechanics so any input will help. I bought a 88 mitsubishi starion about 8 months ago and drove it for about a month. Its been sitting ever since and I really want to get it back on the road. I have been trying everything. Someone told me to check the injectors so I checked that and the seals were ripped so I recently just purchased some of them from dad. I was hoping that was my only problem but then I put them into the car and then it didn't turn on. It cranks but never turns on. Then I started checking for spark. I just put new spark plugs and checked for spark none of the ends were getting spark. I thought it might be the wires so I checked them on my multimeter and they were receiving current(OHMS) so I know my wires are good. I just also replaced the distributor cap and rotor and it is spinning. Do you think it is the coil? also I see that there is a positive and negative terminal and I tried measuring voltage but what should the voltage be around. Also what wires should I attach to what terminal. There are 4 and I don't remember the correct sequence. Also when I took off the fuel injectors to inspect them which one is which. There is a black one and a green one. Which goes in which slot? Thanks and hope to get my car running soon.
  8. Thank you guys. Just purchased the seals hope this will get my car running. Can someone also send me a guide on how to put them in.
  9. I am new to the whole auto field but I am trying to get my 88 starion running. I have had it for almost a year and have only put about 800 miles on it. I just want to fix it and have been asking alot of people for help. Some people told me to check the fuel injectors. I took off the two screws to get to them and the bushing or gaskets whatever they are called are ripped so I was wondering where I can buy new ones and if someone can post pictures on how they should be installed. Thanks and I hope that this will get my car back on the road.
  10. I was wondering where the car is at?
