well i bought all of cashaudio's 2jz stuff along with his conquest and all his parts. If anyone want his car or parts let me know!! But I am staring the sawp in my quest. Right know im just trying to get the engine back togather because i got it in boxes and I mean boxes. here's some pics for you all. I will try my best to provide more info on the swap as i go along.

Well, on my local forum a shop owner was talking about a mustang guy who got ahold of a couple turbos and at 11.5 psi made like 880 hp on pump gas on a dyno-dynamics dyno. So, at least you are going bigger. It'll be retarded with 600 hp, which is probably very do-able on pump gas with that engine.

Easy on pump.. You wouldn't even have to touch the bottom end if the motor is healthy.. These motors are truly rediculous.. I need one, or three..

 

 

wonder how much heavier the engine is. how will that effect the front - rear weight ratio?

 

I could be wrong, but I believe the engine/tranny(6spd) combo is near 800lbs..

I love the starquest but the drive train just sucks if you want to go fast why not put a 1,000hp capabile engine under the hood. Why do engine swaps take so much time :roll: . everytime I turn around I find out i need more parts!!!!! This thing better be fast when its done.

 

conquest drive train does not suck. build it right and it will hold up. dont and it will be a situaton like yours.God luk with the 2 j

Tired of popping headgaskets n such... Why not spend some decent $$$... Work hard at it... And not really have to touch a thing for A WHILE....

 

It WILL be the ultimate street car IMHO...

 

If i wasnt poor and young.... I woulda threw out the g54b a long time ago...

I dont want to start a whining match but show me 1000hp on a stock short block on the G54b or maybe 2,000hp on a race engine. Whats the highest hp on a street drive g54b maybe 569whp when a STOCK 2jzgte can put down over 400WHP on stock everything with just a boost controler.

 

 

no complaining contest bro. 2j>g54b we all know that BUT it does not mean the the g45b sucks. incompetent installer + pissed off machinist sucks.

 

You motor is only as good as your machinists mood.

well this just SUCKS butt. my crank is junk in my us 2jz block. That is the block i was building this weekend. the keyway for the crank pully is messed up alot. So I can eith use the JDM 2jz short block but that one has survire rust pitting on the deck that might be fixable but I would forsure need to get the adj cam gears. or just go this route.

 

New oem 2jz block $225 shipped thats dang cheap if you ask me

useing my stock jdm crank mint cond. need nothing

Eagle H beam rods with ARP bolts

Arias forged pistons with rings

ARP main studs

Oem main.rod bearings

 

for a grand total of $1770 plus machine work for the block with might not need anything besides a slight piston fit and a blance job

well I engine is in one piece. Im still waiting for some parts but its coming alone nicely. Craig and I had to make room in the tunnel for the R154 trans but it fit prett nice. The enigne fits good but there is no room for the ac condensor because the rad is going to sit there. the TB is going to be close to the rad. The shifter comes out almost perfect. I will be makeing the engine mounts on sunday. They are going to be a lot diffanent than smogs. so much more work to do :( but its going pretty good cus of all the help craig87 has given. hers some pics for ya

hey what color is your car??? I was hearing storys last weekend from some tuner guys in appleton area about a 2jz swap happening in a quest lol... that musta been you...

i was down there all weekend in oshkosh helping my sister move...
