I went ahead and pulled the Distributor out this evening and stripped it down. I didn't see anything broken or wires cracked but the grease I  had put in it a few years ago was kinda crunchy. I may have 100 miles on it since the last time it was cleaned and greased. The reluctor was pretty dry, so I may have missed it when I tore it apart the last time. Everything is cleaned and greased pretty well this time and the new Vac advance is installed.Lets hope all goes well when everything is put back together.
I'm gonna drop the tank and clean it while I have it in the air. It has a new pump and all new filters on it but I still wanna make sure it's all clean since it's been sitting so long. I'm sure after this long the gas would be dead anyway. I'll post back after all this has been done. Thanks a million for all the help

Also, does anyone know what the pickup coil should test at. I figured since I have it tore apart I might as well hook a meter to it and check it to see if it's within specs before I put it all back together and re-install it.

While it's on my mind this morning, I wanted to get some input on the governor springs and weights. I understand there is supposed to be some slack in the weights and they move freely, say if you shake the Distributor.  Does it matter which way the springs go on? I'm hoping there's not to much slack in the spring causing the weights to stay looser than they should be.
