  1. here; http://denver.craigslist.org/cto/4440379322.html
  2. So when I bought my black 87 quest the previous owner told me that the heater core went bad and he "Bypassed" it. I decided to go ahead and pull the core and fix this issue even though it never gets cold here in the Rockies. ... Pulled it and took it to a radiator shop and had it pressure tested, checked out ok, so I replaced the "neglected" link hose for a whopping $5.00 including 10" of extra hose since it only comes by the foot, and got new clamps. My new question is, Is there anything else I should check, replace, or clean while I have the dash out? New speakers shipped. Going over it with an air compressor this weekend. Cleaning everything is on the to do list. Anything else "While I'm in there?"
  3. Great information thanks it will save me a lot of needless work.
  4. That'd save a lot work. I thought there was a difference in the feb/march 1987 cylinder heads was the reason for the increase. The block in my other car is getting pulled any way for it own conversion, Still will prolly pull this engine when I paint I do want to do the bay. Will the later ECM plug right in? It doesn't have the warning labels in the drivers door like my other 87's do about the LSD so I thought it wasn't a standard.
  5. Getting a passenger window and get it running and pass emissions is my first priority. Then I can start on the rust removal and pull the block to replace it with an 86's. The paint requested by my brother whom I got this for is an almost black midnight blue. I'm in the market, as it were, for parts. It needs a header panel, air dam, drivers side mirror, wiper garnish vents, passenger side brake light lens, front and rear bumpers, passenger window, rear speaker decks, radio bezel, center console, the passenger side front fender has a bit of rust in it that I don't think will be salvageable. And a whole lot more. So if anybody has any flatty parts or can point me to where I can find parts let me know. Thanks
  6. Trying to decide on whether to D2 drop and keep the stock rims and go with low pro for better grip or see if I can convert it to 5 lug and do 7's of 7 & 8's all around. Don't think 8's would look appropriate on the back. Worried altering the suspension could affect the great handling they came with. But I don't know much about flatties.
  7. I filled the tank up with water and drained 2.5 gallons. Poured 2 gallons of muriatic acid in it and let it sit for 7 hours. I spent 8 hours the next day rinsing the tank out and it was still dropping rust out the drain. Pumped rust remover through the fuel lines and return lines and they were actually ok. So hope next week I can try cleaning it out again and try getting it to start.
  8. I'll never love this cars looks, however my brother had an 85.5 technica that was one of the best handling cars I've ever driven. This cars 145hp isn't going to be enough so the engines been slated to receive an 86's 189hp IC powerplant. Lotus correct?
  9. Its an 1984 conquest technica with posi rear end, not LSD. The Dash is a combo Analog + Digital (Digital boost, RPM, and MPH. Everything else is analog)which is as I understand the conquest version of the technica. The MPH only goes to 85mph and is not changeable. This car sat for about 3 years on the side of the road in a ditch as you can see in the pictures. The full digital dash was a starion technica. Until I saw this car in CL I didn't even know they made a conquest technica.

  11. Picked this up last week. Swear its the ugliest car ever made. Came with 15 Gallons of gas...that was 3 years oldhttp://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad348/warfare8000/1984%20technica/00n0n_f7Eue6dGXrX_600x450_zpsd954def0.jpghttp://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad348/warfare8000/1984%20technica/00B0B_kSFest5nr8x_600x450_zpsda2bf612.jpghttp://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad348/warfare8000/1984%20technica/00W0W_96ItCVRVWqY_600x450_zps4ffacce1.jpghttp://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad348/warfare8000/1984%20technica/20131031_133318_zpsb115a89e.jpghttp://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad348/warfare8000/1984%20technica/20131031_130837_zps565fd416.jpghttp://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad348/warfare8000/1984%20technica/20131031_130831_zps0e58e696.jpghttp://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad348/warfare8000/1984%20technica/20131031_130823_zpsaaff9de4.jpghttp://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad348/warfare8000/1984%20technica/20131031_130817_zps183795e7.jpghttp://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad348/warfare8000/1984%20technica/20131031_130812_zps88bd7ad7.jpghttp://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad348/warfare8000/1984%20technica/20131031_130803_zpsb8dfa4c8.jpghttp://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad348/warfare8000/1984%20technica/20131031_130742_zpsef5c7b92.jpghttp://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad348/warfare8000/1984%20technica/20131031_130733_zps89c4511d.jpghttp://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad348/warfare8000/1984%20technica/20131031_130728_zpsd864b09d.jpghttp://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad348/warfare8000/1984%20technica/20131031_130724_zpsf09193fe.jpghttp://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad348/warfare8000/1984%20technica/20131031_130656_zps9deddddf.jpghttp://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad348/warfare8000/1984%20technica/20131031_130642_zps93eb9f78.jpghttp://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad348/warfare8000/1984%20technica/20131031_130632_zps9df4bad4.jpghttp://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad348/warfare8000/1984%20technica/20131031_130617_zps55fa3668.jpg

  13. Trying To decide on what color to do my 87. Tried this TCP Global Black Metallic Kit. Like it and think it will look good on the rest. http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad348/warfare8000/1987%20Black%20TSi/20131023_110119_zps696bb777.jpghttp://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad348/warfare8000/1987%20Black%20TSi/20131023_135927_zpsa06219d9.jpghttp://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad348/warfare8000/1987%20Black%20TSi/20131024_160441_zps1cac6268.jpghttp://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad348/warfare8000/1987%20Black%20TSi/20131024_121244_zps33897174.jpghttp://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad348/warfare8000/1987%20Black%20TSi/20131024_192731_zps075ad52f.jpghttp://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad348/warfare8000/1987%20Black%20TSi/20131024_192739_zpse663031a.jpghttp://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad348/warfare8000/1987%20Black%20TSi/20131024_192747_zps3e1abce0.jpghttp://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad348/warfare8000/1987%20Black%20TSi/20131026_111349_zps296bd98a.jpghttp://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad348/warfare8000/1987%20Black%20TSi/20131026_111357_zps260e7138.jpghttp://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad348/warfare8000/1987%20Black%20TSi/20131026_111406_zps1563f5cc.jpghttp://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad348/warfare8000/1987%20Black%20TSi/20131026_111417_zps7c661bef.jpghttp://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad348/warfare8000/1987%20Black%20TSi/20131026_111525_zps6610bb47.jpghttp://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad348/warfare8000/1987%20Black%20TSi/20131025_073803_zps6b075f6e.jpghttp://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad348/warfare8000/1987%20Black%20TSi/20131025_073811_zps792c2428.jpg
