Thanks for the opinions guys, what are the limits of the TBI power wise and does it last, sure its all in the tuning but my brain just has troubles thinking you can get a tune good enough with 2 injectors. I have thought about a 2jz swap, and a rotory swap but assumed if I'm going through as much trouble to swap into one of those, I'm assuming the Eclipse motor isn't a drop in but its way closer than the other two, then why not go big at that point. Ugh so many choices. My other issue around here is a tuner worth a crap. When I built my TT 4.6 I had to fly in a DFI expert to tune the car and is was far from cheap and i'd like to skip that expense. Are there any well know quest shops for building and tuning in or new Missouri, Springfield to be exact.

Going MPI is actually a bit more costly than I originally thought. So I need to make up my mind as to what direction to take the car or ditch the car and go with something else which is really my very last resort as I have had tons of these stock and love the look of the car and the amount of looks the cars draw as they aren't around that much. So here are my choices... Do MPI, with Magna intake, Megasquirt built bottom end and everything needed. What is the HP limit or normal numbers for a stockish motor car? Swap in a turbo eclipse motor, the aftermarket is much larger with lots more options. Either run a Megasquirt or AEM unit unless there are other options here.... Also for those that might know what kind of power can you get out of one of these motors and how much more are we talking over option 1. Lastly what about just swapping in a LS2 or 4.6DOHC motor and going that route, sure it won't be an import but I know power is pretty unlimited with these motors if you can find the room. Would you sell just the MAF?

So then is the magna the way to go even, or is there an easier/cheaper way to get MPI on this thing? Also don't the Magna head flow better, the gen II that is? I just want to do this thing one time, do it right and drive it ya know.

If I have a magna head and intake, other than and new ecu what else is needed to get the MPI working properly? I will redo the short block of course but is anything else needed or is it basically a bolt on with those parts?

Running or nonrunning quest. Looking for good body only, motor can need rebuilding. Front air dam can be off as well. Just looking for a nice starter project. Of course a completed car or nice daily driver would work as well. Jason96gt@yahoo.com
