Jumping into wiring this megasquirt.

Recommended Posts

I've run MS For about 10 years now. I always did my own harnesses but from what I've seen of Scott's system you should be good to go! I assume you went with the plug-n-play?

Tuning is where things get interesting. If you haven't already been through the megamanual then I suggest you start. That way you have a good feel for what you are changing and why.

All the systems are somewhat different based on what the purchaser wants, he's chosen a new wire harness but was unaware the old or factory wire harness contained a bit more than just the ECU stuff. I strongly suggest the FSM wiring schematic available at http://www.starquestgarage.com. That will help you to know which factory wires supply switched 12V, how the factory did the fuel pump relay and which wire colors for the oil and coolant gauges in the instrument cluster. It will save you lots of time.

Hey guys. I finally got back into working on the mitsu. Next step for me was wiring a fuse block.I pulled a fuse block from under the hood of a 01-04 impala. there under the hoods of a few buicks also. Theres spots for multiple circuits, and spots for fan, fuel pump and main relays. theres two fuse blocks under there and they come with 8 working relays.

I was wondering how people running there fans with scott's system to label it. I have a relay all set up for it just wondering how
