  1. I know my part names and whet they do what gave you the impression that i didnt??????
  2. Well i thought that this was the place to go for trouble shooting ideas and learn????? but i guess i was wrong.
  3. My car literally word for word does this exact same starting issue! Is the FPR supposed to make any noise?? mike makes kind of a "shhht pop" noise and then the idle dropps a bit.... could this also effect how my car idles???
  4. My CTS is fairly new ill have to check it again and how do i check the ISC? I didnt check that but i know it is functioning the only thing is, when i turn the key to the ON position and wait 15 seconds with my ear by it i dont get the nice "zip zip" sound i kinda get a "ZIP DUT DUT" but even still the car drives amazingly its only at idle, so most likely the ISC and TPS right?
  5. The car runs great but after it warms up she wont idle, no vacuum leaks and tps is set correctly??? any ideas???
  6. Any ideas???? I am kind of put out of a car right now and i need it on Saturday. Any suggestions are appreciated.
  7. i tried that i turned on the lights and the accessories and the alternator is good i had it tested too. that was my original thought though.
  8. so my car idles and runs beautifully until the cooling fans kick on, its not over heating and its not vacuum leaks but as soon as my fans kick on the idle drops to 200 then shoots to 1100 rpm and it eventually stalls..... i have no clue whats going on??? any ideas?
  9. Could some one walk me through it???
  10. That would be cool there is also two people that live within five minutes of me, a father and son that have quests maybe they could meet up too?
  11. Dang i wish i could make this meet, its not to far from me, but i don't think my quest could make it at this juncture, electrical problems are so sketchy.
  12. k thanks guys ill look into the things i havent already done i probably should have added that i have replaced all the fuseable links vacuum lines and the injectors are new, also i replaced the battery because it was a walmart "neverstart" battery form '08 and this winter killed it, but i checked at 900 rpm the volts sit around twelve, \ One more thing how much should my volts drop when i have a turn signal down below 12, i have replaced flashers for the hazards and the turn signals, but when i have the hazards on the volts barely move at all? basically over the last three months my electrical problems have piled up and how i am deciding to fix them.
  13. First my idle wont stay constant it like to stick around 900 when it idles normally but if im driving and i come to a stop it drops to less than 400 and kicks around for a little bit almost stalling than works its way back up unless i blip the gas and after i let the car warm up when the car is sitting the idle will do the same thing but not as severe, just dropping to about 500 then coming back up. second i unless my rpms are above 1000, when i am running everything like lights radio heater/ac the volts drop below 12???? im thinking voltage regulator, i just put in a new battery and my alternator is good. any ideas???
  14. do i have to disassemble whole mechanical advance? or does it come off in one piece?
