  1. Bought my spec stage 2 at ultrarev.com, just because i got a 33$ discount lol. Clutch kit cost me 298.00$ instead of 330.00$. They ship directly from spec.

  3. Yup. weathers crazy up n down here. Even in the summer. Plus i could drive 25 minutes north and there can be a huge difference.
  4. Pretty darn cool! Ive owned all 3 of them stealth talon and starion, crazy their all on the list lol. Great find! Thanks
  5. As title states car is in a bad spot, need to get it home for the winter! The fan blew apart into pieces and now im stuck! Towing the car will be way too expensive! I hope theres someone out there that has a spare! Thanks!
  6. Lol! What you dissin Canada?! If your referring to its effin cold over here 8 months of the year your right! It sucks! Unfortunatnley its not easy to move to the us:( i would really love to but both my gf and i would have to get a job where they are willing to sponsor us. I worked in waco, texas for a couple of weeks at the nsf test center doin some repairs on a filtration system we were testing to get approved. (Really not a place you want to work at. It was basically waco's sewage facility...) none the less i did enjoy having cold beers at the texas roadhouse every night! Haha Ive yet to get any dyno time on mpi. Ive been putting it off forever. I can have access to one whenever i wish for as long as i want but i can never find the time. I monitor knock through the sds with a factory knock sensor but i dont really use it. My car is quite quiet so im able to detect the knock with my big ears. Loll no seriously tho you hear it. Ive been workin on engines for a long time, its the second car that is computer controlled tho. I get what you mean tho, car drives differently every day. Not by much but enough to throw things off abit. Weather changes alot here. 1 day its 15 degrees the next day its 3 degrees, then the following week its 20 degrees. I see my self always playing with the iat values to get the car to run consistantly in all the temps. I find the sds standard values are not really all that perfected. Maybe my intercooler is not efficient enough to keep the air temps in a good margin. Its true what you say tho, i do need to do alot of dyno time to get er right!
  7. Loll, you shootin some meth to get those advance numbers? Im tryin to understand why were so far apart
  8. You guys must be gettin better gas down there than me. 94 is the best we have and its from petro canada (canada) second best is shell nitro + whatever its called but i believe its only 91 aswell. Im gunna try the shell one and see if the car acts differently. I have a feeling the octane ratings are way off Round here. Everytime i go accross the border into the us to fill my tank at sunoco, the gas lasts longer. Mind you its 50% cheaper. What are you tunin with?
  9. Pulling it after the turbo for now, cant swap it in to the collector at the moment. Dont like to keep it there just incase it blows apart. Havent been able to check the plugs recently but the the last time i checked the straps looked normal. Base timing is set to 35 degrees 3000 rpm n up iirc. Ill definitley close up the gap when im better. At 20 psi i am at about 12 degrees advance. I have to pull alot of timing to get no spark knock. Kind of makes me feel something is up with the 94 octane up here... Mind you its expensive as hell! If i had the 7:1s instead of the 8s im pretty sure id see alot less problems, the raised compression on these cars seem to make them abit more prone to detonation in the higher boost area. I dont think i could run my car more than 24 psi on pump gas.
  10. Haha i gues you could say im kinda old skool, i try to do things the correct way. Indexing your plugs takes a few extra minutes and it eliminates the possibility of a problem at high boost levels. Car is tuned for 21psi but i stay away from that on the street, the roads are too messed up around here and the car is stupid fast at that level. I forgot to add that i am running bpr8es plugs. I want to try and run 9s but im scared they wont clean at idle. It takes a while for the egts to reach the cleaning temp. Reason for that is so i can see if i could run less retard without getting spark knock. Currently im running like 24 degrees retard at 21 psi and im running 94octane! If i could turn back time i would of stuck to the 7:1 pistons but that was years ago. You do have a good point with the gap opening with the heat, i will definitley look into that, like i said still not in good enough shape to be doin things under the hood:( hopefully the snow dont start comin down so i could solve this before the winter! Its funny back in the tbi days and a log manifold with the hx35 and the whole electronics shabang goin on, id be running 1600's in the egt department And close to 13s afr at 20psi with bpr7es' with no spark blowout. I may have been running a tighter gap tho, sumthin like .028 iirc. But then again, airflow was no where near the same as mpi.
