  1. Has anyone else sent in money and not have head, nor know where one is? Anyone? Anyone? Just me? Rich?
  2. Duuuuude. You guys are soooooooooooooooooooooooooo rice:) I know, I know, to each his own.... I just came from a street racing background, where *anyone* who worried about what mirrors looked like before having a pocketful of 9-sec timeslips hidden in a pocket was a dork. So I still feel the same way:)
  3. Yep. It sure don't:) The airflow coming forward on the hood on these cars is negligable at speed.. as in almost none. I really wanted in facing backwards, but when I get the spoiler and side skirts done, I will have a low pressure area underhood, and forward facing in a positive pressure zone is better. OTOH, it will slow airlfow thru the intercooler, bit I will be making the intercooler slot in the spoiler bigger...might make up for it. I am simply looking to vent underhood heat better. AS I said in the beginning, form means very little to me:0 Due to the underwheling response:) I will be making two.. cuz I know if I make only one, it will get broken:) Shawn, thanks for the honest reply. I appreciate it. Joey T ( now my car and *I* are ugly....)
  4. OK guys, here is the deal. Later today I will put the hood up on a web page. The hood you will see is my stock hood with the scoop stuck on it:) So there is a seam aruond the scoop that will not exist in the finished product. The only reason I am teasing you guys about this is that I will make a much better mold if more than just I want one. As I said, it will need to be trimmed and painted, and it will need pins top hold it down. No options available. I would love to hear opinions, good and bad. I do not have another stock hood to start from as far as making changes, but if everyone has the same comment, I might be able to scare one up for a mold. ( IE, if I get 20 people who say " Yeah, I love it.. but you gotta move the scoop back 8 inches.." ) OTOH, moving the scoop back gets it in an area of stagnant airflow and ruins any functionality...plus, you gotta seal under the nose and both sides to get negative underhood pressure and allow more air in. AS I saod, the primary function is to vent underhood heat when stopped. http://www.nuclearchicken.com/quest These are *huge* So besides the seam, what ya see is what you get.
  5. OK, if you have a hotmail account or a yahoo account, I cannot send you pics as it will bounce. So gimme an e-mail with a good account or wait from me to put em up someplace.... More details: Price would be $150, plus shipping. Colors will be..whatever you paint it. Options will be none. No. Not a chance. Whatever you are about to ask, no. I could also be persuaded to make a stock hood in glass. I dunno how you would pick it up to lift it off, but that isn't my problem.

    History

Dunno if this is true or not, but no silver listed in 88. I am looking out the office window at my new to me silver 88...maroon interior, sport, no sunroof, auto.
  7. Hi guys... As some of you know, I favor function over form. ( When you are as ugly as I am... ) so I made a hood with a functional scoop. I am going to use the hood to make a mold, and make myself another in glass. The isea is to vent underhood heat when parked, as the airflow over the hood is pretty nominal at speed. I also will be sealing the underside of the car better with a glass spoiler in front and abs skirts, but I digress. I *could* produce more than one. It would not come in colors. You would have to trim it to get it sitting correct. It would not, in any way, use stock hinges or latch. It 100% would require pins and Dzus fasteners. Any interst? I do have a pic of someone wants to host it....note the pic is pre-paint and looks kinda fugly, but you get the idea...
