BrokenquestTSI Posted June 14, 2008 Report Share Posted June 14, 2008 Dude, i think people are dreaming when they think theyre scion tc is, or ever can be fast. ive seriously NEVER lost even a power display to one of these no matter what car im in! I thought to myself.....maybe they just werent giving me all that they got whenever i would see one and try to race it. It is just too darn easy and it feels wierd beating them. I mean, i wouldnt even mess with them at all, but the people that drive them think theyre driving a racecar. The quest has absolutely no problems at all destroying one(as you all should know). like taking candy from a baby. or picking on a little kid or something. But the otherday, no lie, i beat another one in my moms ford escape! i kidd you not. Why are these things so slow? They even look kinda quick. i would expect at least a fight like an RSX or something but c'mon now. They have the same engine as a camry(the 2.4L) I have seen many fast tCs, they CAN and ARE made fast. the stock version isn't built for speed, its about style and comfort. Guest Posted June 14, 2008 Report Share Posted June 14, 2008 They're "econo-boxes" meant for gas mileage and comfort on two doors....I've seen alot of dumb kids in them trying to go fast. I was in the work van and the guy next to me sounded like he was redlining his tc but it wasn't really doing anything more than making noise. It was just kinda in the next lane making a lot of racket and going the same speed as mt slow Chevy Astro work van with all steel compartments in the back. I figured that you could make them fast like any other car. like if scion gave sq club one and told us to make it fast im sure we all could, but none of us want to right? haha. I didnt buy it to be fast either, I bought it cuz it was cheap and good on gas. 19cturbo Posted June 19, 2008 Report Share Posted June 19, 2008 haha thats funny, when i had my 93 escort gt, this kid and his friends pulled up beside me laughing, (my muffler fell off that day, i had to get another one put on) the car was loud and i guess they thought i was trying to be cool, but was on the way to get a new muffler, but the light turned green and i stomped it, left them by about a car and a half.. let off and laughed as they slowly rolled by.. it was probably the best moment ever... And that video i guess was confusing at the end, but all i noticed was that the tc was either right next to the stang, or beating him. BrokenquestTSI Posted June 21, 2008 Author Report Share Posted June 21, 2008 yeah man. im tellin you. every car im in! they always try to race and push me to the limit so i just beat them. dude....my moms ford escape.......seriously. somethings wrong here. they were all like, stock lookin i race too. every once in awhile i race a nicer lookin one in my quest and completely decimate them of couse. but my girlfriends 98 altima, my friends mighty max, and my dads work truck. lol its funny when i think about it. most are just dumb and just cant drive. Just the other day I was driving in to work in my '07 Dodge Caliber (the SE 2.0 not even an upper end model) and had some kid in his Scion try to race me.
