I have done a search but unless I missed it, I didnít find any clear answers. Has anyone actually converted one to MPI? Thanks.

Has anyone converted what to MPI? Are you referring to a Dodge caravan, a Starion, or maybe you mean using a caravan intake as a base to create an MPI manifold?

1987 Flatty Starion -- Widebody Conversion -- V-Mount Setup --  JDL Tubular Manifold  --  MX-6 Intake -- MS3-Pro -- AEM FPR  --  ARP head studs -- 3" hood exit exhaust -- Hahn Racecraft 16g --  Tial F38 Wastegate -- Tial Q Bov -- Short route piping -- 5 lug & LSD conversion -- Tubular Front End -- Manual Steering Rack Conversion -- Manual Brake Conversion -- Stack Digital Dash -- AEM UEGO -- D2 coilovers -- full GNT poly bushings & mounts -- four 8" rears -- car lightened significantly...  More to come!

I've not seen it done but that doesn't mean nobody has done it. I don't necessarily believe it would work well BUT I would also say if it interests you then definitely try it. If done correctly it will cost less than the other standard options and maybe you will learn from the experience.

My thought was to also use a Ford 5.0 intake elbow and throttle body to mate up to the ported Caravan intake. Big issue I see from my end is not knowing optimum distance for the bungs from the cylinder head flange as well as depth &  angle of the bungs.

Id say use the magna intake and how its made as inspiration. Also though don't get too hung up on making it perfect. Remember, the stock manifold uses two injectors facing the floor of a manifold with unequal length runners and its nowhere near the intake port so anything you end up with will be an improvement. I fabricated an adapter plate so I could use an intake manifold from a mazda 626 turbo engine. The runner spacing was off, the injectors don't point at the intake valve, and that manifold wasn't intended for the motor, yet it still works great and only cost me about $70 in materials. With some careful consideration, some understanding of the basic principles of how the manifold delivers the air and fuel, you'll end up with something that is at the very least slightly better than stock.

Hey Speedy, Speedy here, What thickness material did you use for the 626 adapter? i've had one here for years i've been wanting to do this one but havn't had a chance to mess with it. what did you use for a throttlebody?

Hey Speedy, this is Speedy responding. The thickness I used was 1/2" but if you could go a bit thicker you could have an even smoother transition between the two different port spacing. And the throttlebody on there is a mustang 4.6 liter one. No idle control stuff because race car haha!

cool intake link. Would be good to add the mazda/probe.
CNM had an unusual center mounted MPI intake. Can't remember if the plenum or injectors/rail were mounted underside

Honestly in my opinion it's not really worth the time and effort. You'll probably see minor improvements over a stock manifold even with equal runners & 4 injectors. Save your money and do it the best way with an mpi manifold.

Option to add, some guy started adopting the 3rd gen eclipse steel intake. Looks like a medium length header, and the throttle body already faces the correct way. G54 probably enhanced even more, Lots of cheap ones in usa jukyards.
Never heard how it tuned out. Sound concept tho

caravan intake ports shoot direct from plenum to head, without the oem "Y". So in theory should go better MPI converted
oem probably put the Y there to help channel the centrally injected fuel to the ports.
if converting, you should be able to grab a caravan, Kcar or mitsu pickup carb intake for pennies. A ton of those things were junked

Geos holley 4-barrel carb blowthru on carb g54 intake ripped. Full weight with a 60-1 @ 23psi ran 11.8sec 1/4
MPI/caravan intake + standalone should be an improvement in every facet = good stuff.

the CNM intake had an oblong plenum with a central inlet, facing the strut tower and curved runners to ports, iirc
Would be nice to see those CNM web pages. I liked his upgrade stages and approach. Content seemed methodical & no-nonsense
James was a very cool dude on the phone. I was just about to order when the drama hit. Too bad it all went sideways

and turbocraft29 did his almost 10years before yours
Detailed on his geocities webpage ~2002ish
He adapted the ford probe/mazda mx6 distributor as well, so his G54 was managed by mazda electronics
Basicly adapted cheap-free plentiful parts and wound up with a MPI g54, way back when MPI was rare and a hot topic
If u search these boards u can still find some details of how & what it cost him
