Preludedude
Advance auto sold me some and went to install them. Guy said pin was weird and they don't carry any like that. He told me I need to get refills and cut to length Is this right? Who carries a direct replacement?

tsi_tom
The pin in the wiper where the blade is supposed to connect to? http://i1069.photobucket.com/albums/u467/tsi_tom/The%20Missouri%20Project/General%20Car%20Stuff/originalwiper_zpsf7dd51a4.jpg http://i1069.photobucket.com/albums/u467/tsi_tom/The%20Missouri%20Project/General%20Car%20Stuff/conquestwiperarm_zps1348298b.jpg
speedyquest
Thats really odd, mine are not like that. Mine have the rod attached to the wiper arm and I can go to any store and pick up a set. Hell I just bought a set of Rain-X ones from menards for 8 bucks each and walked out to the parking lot and installed them by hand.
TexasQuest
The pin goes into the wiper arm. Careful those pins are getting harder to find.
tsi_tom
Not that rare. It is an anco pin. I think I bought this wiper for the pin http://www.ebay.com/itm/AC-Delco-8-417-Windshield-Wiper-Blade-17-/221813460677?fits=Model%3AConquest&hash=item33a51ccec5&vxp=mtr

87redcat
probably has a little rust on it. there is a release on the wiper arm and the pin should come out. make note of which side is which. of course that could be why its stuck in the wiper
Preludedude
I have the old wiper off the arm and the pin is in the old wiper. How to remove the pin???
tsi_tom
On mine the pin could not be removed. I bought the wiper with the pin in the link above, used the pin and then put a different wiper on.
Preludedude
That's what I did today. Ordered wipers with pin already installed in new ones. $9/each. No one has any in stock with pins included.
G54Bstore
They are like 2 bucks from rock auto. Maybe like 8 bucks with shipping and all for both.Just get them when you order other stuff is what I did. Good deal imo.
Sharpshifter
My car is running wiper arms off of a late 80s/early 90s Volvo- it's a better Shepherd's Crook design and easier to find blades for. I had CarQuest special order my rear wiper blade, which was exactly like what you have pictured. It was their "exact fit" line and came with the pin installed. All other cross references were sans-pin.
