Yea My Rock Python is one mean SOB and he is only like 5 feet long at this point. Im trying to handle him as much as possible to tame the aggression out of him. I would rather deal with him being aggressive at 5 feet then have to deal with it when he is 18-19 feet. -

Not true.. IF a snake is handled often and handled by a person who knows what they are doing then a snake is no more dangerous than a dog. You have to learn to read the snakes body language and learn their personalities(sp?) The rule is this. For every 6 feet of snake you need to have 2 people with you. My largest snake is only 8 feet long, but everytime i take him out for a tank clean or take him out to handle him, my g/f or someone else is always there. The problem is stupid people that arent ready to handle a large snake. They think its cool to own one and when it reaches 16-17 feet they get tired of keeping it and release it or neglect it. I have owned my snakes for about 5 years and i have only been bitten once and that was 100% my fault. -

I think you are mis informed. There is no here near that many burmese pythons. The media is hyping this s*** up like crazy. yes some owners have released there snakes into the wild and they have reproduced. There is a theory that a snake breeder had a set up down there with a lot of snakes. A hurricane came in a destroyed his place. In the proccess a lot of snakes escaped. -
