Water In Right Tail Light
Posted 07 May 2018 - 09:29 AM
Now I'm noticing condensation in there. I read a couple of posts about it here but didn't see a fix.
Can anything be done to permanently fix this issue. I would also be interested in finding a replacement lens
since I couldn't get rid of the dull film that develops at the reverse light.

To remove the lens, you will have to baked it off. The glue will get soft and you can pull them apart. I've never done in on a Starquest so I'm not sure what temp is necessary. You'll have to find another light to do the swap, or just find a better light and replace it. It's hard to come by just the lenses. Not impossible, but they don't pop up often.
Hope that info helps you out.

Just ordered some and they arrived Saturday.
Didn't put them in yet because I might need to caulk the lenses themselves first.
Both my driver and passenger side have water.
I'm going to just follow these instructions for repair - http://www.austarion...jatailrecon.pdf
