Love grace silver and the hood looks great man. Nice car. Really hope the turbo works good for you, especially since I brought them up after he rebuilt one for the wife's car.   The wheels really go good with the car too.

Well, I know this is the "Showroom section" but I guess I can update the build here....

I am in the middle of tearing down the engine again due to a coolant leak between head and block

See this thread:
http://www.starquest...pic=154434&st=0

Well, since its getting torn down, I guess I will turn this into a winter project. The engine only has about 2500 miles on it since I built it 6 years ago, but with the leak, the head or block needs resurfacing...

AND since I'm pulling everything and stripping it back down, Ive decided to go ahead and do what I should have done the first time...I just ordered a MPI intake from Chad, and will be going that route...All I really need is the intake, injectors and piping...Im already running Scott's Megasquirt setup, so most of the hard work is done...

So soon I will be selling my TBI intake setup with 52mm Lower Shores TB, 1200/1800 Delphi injectors, TEP Hardpipes, etc....

Ill try to update as I go....

Got head off the block today....

Hmm..where did it blow? <_<   (how about EVERYWHERE!)

Posted Image

So now Im pulling everything, and starting from scratch. It sucks when this build has less than 2500 miles on it...

BUT I didnt deck the block or have the head checked since it was new from DAD...So now Im stripping everything down, and taking the head and block to a machine shop....

Almost looks like the head lifted off the block.
Were the head bolts tight when you removed them?

Yes they were....The block has low spots as found today with a straight edge...The head also needs resurfacing I found...

A warped iron block will do that to an aluminum head.  At least you found the cause for the failure instead of having that question unanswered when you are reassembling.

Well, finally time for another update.....

Got the engine pulled and gutted the engine bay to wash it...

Posted Image

Rolled it out of the garage and used purple power, metal scrub pad, and pressure washer...

Posted Image

Then a thought hit me...Lets two-toned the engine bay...And what better color to choose than "Electron Blue Pearl" (factory Honda Prelude color in 2001) --Just figured I could represent my first interest in cars from my teenage years, as I did own 5 preludes. (hence the name)

Posted Image

Took the block and head to a machine shop and had both resurfaced since I kept blowing headgaskets....Here is the block back home and I just painted it yesterday.

This is where Im at now.....More to come in the next few weeks......
