  1. I upgraded my TSI to an 89 computer, and have my 87 computer left over. The car has since been totalled out, and I would like to get it out of my garage. I'm not really sure if this is an upgrade to pre 87 Starquests, that is why I am just checking. It is in an 89 box, and it came out of my running car when it was upgraded. I also have an 8" rear wheel in good shape. Some clearcoat peeling, 1 dent on the lip, and missing the piece inside the valve stem. It is taking up room and would like to get rid of it. Maybe someone could put a little work into it and make it a nice piece again. Let me know if anyone is interested. Make an offer. Justin

  3. Will the OVCP come with the couplers?
  4. Yes, it does feel good. It ran well since I got it, but with a tiny hiccup at about 3K. I just didn't like the fact that the previous owner used CRAP for tune-up parts. No name wires(everyone pulled out of the crimp as I removed them), champion plugs gapped wrong, still had original broken injector clips on it, etc. Most of this stuff was just peace of mind stuff, but I do enjoy the sound of the new intake if nothing else. I think it is ready for a boost increase, but I want to get the gauge and BOV mounted first. It is never ending. It's starting to remind me of my Merkur  Anyway, I love this site and I will get some updates and pictures up soon. Justin
  5. Well, it has been a few weeks since I brought the Quest home, and since all the parts I ordered came in, I decided to dedicate Fri to it. Cap, rotor, NGK wires, NGK IX, engine temp sensor(broke one of the pins off trying to get my EGR back on the other day), custom intake, and Bosch replacement injector clips. I used the info from this site and made an intake from an Early Prelude. I also installed a stock replacement K/N, and opened up the front of the stock aircan. The only thing I didn't get done was the O2 sensor and A/F gauge. I can't figure out how to mount the new sensor to my housing, but that is in the VM forum. Anyway, it was an over-all productive day. I let it warm up and set the timing, isc, and tps, then took it for a spin. Pulled strong all the way to about 5K in all gears(I was shifting @ 5K on purpose). It felt good considering I'm running stock boost. (87 Quest by the way). I have some good ideas for a custom OVCP and 1G BOV sceduled in the next couple of weeks along with a boost gauge and manual boost controller. It's coming along nicely. Thanks for all of the help so far. Justin
  6. I installed the short shifter and knob from Mookeh yesterday. I want to say that the quality is amazing. The end result is unbelievable. I can't believe how squishy the stock shifter was. The new one is SHORT and very PRECISE. This is the first modification I have done to the car, other than remove air silencer, and I believe it will be one of the best. If you don't have one, you should get one, they are well worth the $$ Thanks guys, Justin
