Climate controlled parts storage...

Climate controlled parts storage, a fancy way of saying... there were Starion accessories in my house lol...

I had turbos, blow off valves, and other small items on my office desk. In the bedroom, a modified 4g63 intake manifold that had been sitting unboxed for years... so I could wake up, look at it from the bed and dream lol. There was also a set of pistons and rods and some sensors. The oil pick up o-ring and pump gasket are probably still in the closet, but... that's a task for another time. The parts went back into the garage, though some had been delivered at my door, inspected inside the house, and then stacked on my office desk, or shelved as "art" in the bedroom.

Wife never minded or nagged me about it, just been in the cleaning/organizing mood lately. In fact she almost supports the addiction, check out what she got me for my desk (enjoying an Orion beer that Lou recommended too):

I know there are others like me out there... (like SOTTY who's said to have an entire room dedicated to climate controlled hoarding... [probably for all those 16g's he's selling]) Speak up and join the support group if you are, don't be afraid!!

EDIT: I'm probably going to keep the brand new TPS on my desk, it's another trophy/trinket I like to look at... lol.

I take it she's good-lookin' cooks/cleans, on top of the no naggin' ? Sounds like a foxy keeper to me, I swear, some people have ALL the luck!! LOL!!

Oh yeah, she's a keeper... the only one able to lock me down LOL...

P.S. Let's not confuse luck with skill.

Here in TX... (luckily, most of this stuff is now out in the shop. I think all I have left in the house are some seats and seatbelt tracks)...

And here was my dining room in winter in MI... The wife is fine with car parts and motorcycles in the house, but for some reason, she draws the line at lawn mowers.

I see nothing wrong with that. I have an entire bedroom dedicated to "good" parts storage. Right now it's got, 83 C/F hood proto type from first run, 2 sets of brand new rims, a set of tires, a windshield for quest, and a few other new parts for a few other cars.

I would totally keep my bike inside, but it's WAY to heavy to get in side, those bikes are easy 2 dudes can lift them in. + mine is a harley so it would drip all over my nice hard wood floors. If I could get it down my basement I could ride it around though the 4 room loop.

My whole basement is filled with car collectibles, antique car toys and tracks stacked on storage shelves. Someday I will start selling. I have three of those Starion diecast cars, one of each color.

Hahaha, yeah... I always made sure the key was hidden away so people wouldn't try and start it when I had parties.

The hard wood floors work great, especially if they have lots of urethane.... I dripped some oil a couple times, but it cleaned right up. I did all my maintenance, detailing and little projects during the winter while I stayed warm and watched TV. Then when nice weather came, it was ready to go.

I lived on a busy street, and the easiest way in and out was thru the front door. We always got some crazy looks from passers-by when it was time to get the bikes in or out in the fall or spring.
