dmyers151
Provisions for a Gurney flap?
jszucs
Oh, and a radio is something you use to counter speed. My car was fast and could get in the 13's at the track... That was too fast for me so I added a few hundred pounds of audio equipment so I could travel at safer speeds. hahah... I believe it's call a system at that point Alos I hear regular FM is going to go the way of lowdef TV brodcast soon. So might as well scrap them, or get a hiden one to tie into an after market unit. tankbob
Definetly interested in this extended spoiler, gotta love the look of a fat ducktail. Cant wait for some good pics/estimated price!
Tim_C.
I still use the stock radio in my cars that have it. Free and up to date content. I use it in the rentals too. Very few of them are equipped with satelite. I'd have to think that spoiler would sell very well.
BOHO
I like the straight back vs. the sloping up. John...Do you still plan on doing some headlight conversions?

Clayed it up but only had a few min to carve on it today. As you know the lip has the small flat towards the end. The tape line is right before that surface break. I want to keep that, but just ever so slightly change that angle and extend it from there. I don't want it curved upwards (neither do your guys), but rather a nice continuous curve from that break. gurney flaps eh? Lol Boho not just yet, but hopefully early mid next year. More to come. BOHO
I will be in as well...My opinion...No wiper, no atenna, no light.
Convette
Yeah. Gonna have to agree. No wiper, no light, at this point no hole fit an antenna, but that could be cut in... We'll see. A brake light"could" be cut in, but I'm not trying to complicate things. It's easier for me to surface it without a hole, and worrie about mounting points ect. 19cturbo
Is it going to be that thick at the back? Im not knocking it, but i like the thinner look towards the point of the spoiler. more like the mookeeh one. I know you do great work though john, everything is always top notch. You can see it more here. http://www.ebay.com/itm/MK1-Starion-FRP-Rear-Hatch-Roof-Spoiler-Wing-Conquest-/160488986343?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_100&vxp=mtr&hash=item255de396e7 Edited October 30, 2012 by 19cturbo
Tim_C.
I think dmyers151 is looking for functionality and more top end stability. Your extension should add some, but would be much better functionality wise with a 'Gurney Flap'. Most people report they can feel some rear lift at 140+. That means there is considerable less stability at 120 too. Mine runs very smooth at 150, but I'm sure it isn't nearly as stable.
jszucs
Will this design be open inside.... IE could I drill holes at the very back lip and get inside to poke LED's though? Or would I have to cut from the outside insert LEDs fill and punch the wireing though the back side? This would allow for 3rd breaklight in them for those who wanted that. Convette
19c no it's not going to be this thick, I'm going to cut it down still a bit and once I radius it it will be near stock, def thinner. I did get some surfacing done today, that's why I'm using clay instead of bondo..easy to change. I'll get some more sketches up tonight hopefully. I may introduce a small surface break near the rear, super subtle. The thing of it is, what looks good and what's going to make down force are 2 different things. Yes, this will help, but I have developments in store for those who want down force. I don't like the way mk1s curved up. Doesn't flow with the car. It will be hollow, so yes you will be able to put whatever you want for a third light.http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w239/johnboy9788/20121030_155809.jpg http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w239/johnboy9788/20121030_155825.jpg Stay tuned... Convette
Maybe you could put some channels in it so it doesn't become a swimming pool? Not sure I understand...
